| They figure the only people still playing EQ are addicted enough that the price increase won't scare them off. Expect more price increases in the future to milk the max amount they can from the addicts. |

| Chalk this up under: "Things that make you say WTF?" edit: Taking another look at it, my only guess is that they want everyone on the "All Access" by making their primary subs so expensive. But still......WTF? |

| So expensive? Huh... Look at the rest of the market... And unlike most of the other games which are actively designed to reduce the need for CS interaction, EQ's design almost neccesitates it in a bunch of situations. This should've come as a shock to no one. No one's lifestyle is going to change over a 7 cents a day increase in their EQ1 costs. Find some new material to complain about. |

When did anyone say it was "So expensive". The shock is over the increase of a dying game, dumbfuck edit: Since you took my original post out of context let me re-word it so those with double-digit IQs can understand: "By raising the price of their better games Subs to only a few dollars less than their "All Access" pass it would behoove most just to buy into the "All Access". And as I originally stated, it's just a guess, not a rant, not a whine about the price. Just a logical conclusion. Easier now? Last edited by Jait : 05-13-2005 at 02:46 PM.

| The game isn't dying - try actually logging on and that would be quite apparent. No person currently playing would tell you that the game is dying - XP groups are a bit harder to find during the day - but the raid element of the game is still just as vibrant as ever. Hard to make a diagnosis without even being in the same room as the patient, Dr. Jait. |

The number of EQ servers has been halved. The individual populations on each of the new, combined servers is about where is used to be a year or so ago, pre-mergers. Therefore, the overall subscriber base has _______.

| This argument is stupid and has been rehashed so many times. The number of subscriptions has halved, but the big drop has pretty much subsided. People aren't dropping eq to go try wow anymore. The people leaving I'd guess are less than the people coming back, at least on my server. Let's get back to the important issue here: I think I heard someone who plays wow make a crack at another company's customer service... |
