I know, I know, Blizzard has said that they'll be released for free. You know what? I don't believe them.

| I highly doubt we'll see an expansion any time soon or an announcement either. Blizzard doesn't have their shit nearly together enough yet. Their live team is a fucking joke as it is.

| We'll get an announcement, sure. They have to get something to pimp with at E3 and Blizzard has always made it pretty clear they don't exactly feel themselves bound by any announcements they make. |

| What I have to wonder about is the future of PvP rewards. New content comes for groups, raids, and solo...items will get better. Meanwhile here you have PvP rewards that will look less and less appealing. Eventually people will solo for loot that's better than PvP epic rewards. So you have to think that they will either upgrade the stuff, add more options, or something... |

+61 Internets | What Itzena said. That's why you have to constantly grind to maintain your pvp rank and gear. If you want to have nearly instant access to the new 'high end' before the high end becomes available, you're going to have to be able to put in the time and ganking to get that right. |

| Northrend seems the obvious choice for Expansion 1. But to be honest I'd really wish they'd "up the ante" before going to Expansions like EQ did with the Plane of Fear and later Hate. And give players something that requires the expansion to finish ala PoS. Maybe that place the Dreadlords hang out in. |

DoN was more of a token expansion, similar to ykesha. The extra content was a bonus - what you were really paying for was shit like the guild hall, etc. They pretty much said that DoN was not going to be a super-in-depth expansion full of cutting edge raid content. I know a lot of people as of late returning to EQ from both eq2 and wow. I can still do some odd /who all 40 on my server, and still get more than 20 people. This tells me that EQ is still doing allright - even if those are mostly alts.

You're either on Stromm (which had 'Come play on this server' green text status for about a year and ended up the fullest of the servers eventually) or you've forgotten that SOE is in the process of merging the EQ servers together.

| Remember how Stromm got named? They picked 5 random character names then put up a poll. Anyone remember the choices? I remember one seemed like it would win in a landslide then Stromm came out of nowhere. |

It's just it's taking them so long to do them. As for the expansion, there's already ship docks in place for these. As said above, Northrend is a near sure bet for a first. Then, you've got a fine dock ready for use at Steamwheedle ready to get you to another expansion, plus opening the Dark Portal (and going thru it) in two expansions, once people are level 70.
