| The missing slash commands (lfg and anon) are perfect examples of blizzard's stubborness fucking the game up. They dont like to put things in unless they are so safety-coated that even the greenest newbs can operate them. Command line functions are deemed too complicated, and so we get things like the Meeting Stones: completely impractical, barely used, poorly desigened game elements introduced instead of a simple /lfg switch which has a proven and unquestionable track record. Picture Ironforge... 8 PM... a group consisting of a rogue, hunter and mage want to do an instance, either Sunken Temple or Maraudon. What makes more sense: spamming chat channels looking for people and flying all around the world to use the stones, or typing /who druid LFG 40-55 /who warrior LFG 40-55 /who priest LFG 40-55 Problem is, the second option, while actually working, might cause a fucktard to sprain a finger by making them actually type something. I don't think I need to touch on the values of the /anon command. Jesus, if they are worried about it fucking with PVP, make it so you cant anon while - pvp enabled - in a group with someone pvp enabled Man I should have used this for patchtimer tomorrow. Now I have to think of more material.

| /second FU In a world of difficult to balance gameplay, there is an easy to implement, harmless, only positive mechanism that could be added, and it goes to waste. Instead we get the insert-your-derision-stones. |

| Your experiencing something that I just went through with my reactivated month of CoH. /Hide is the best thing EVER. You can actually get a Fire/* tanker powerleveller (I can only assume they're IGE slaves) sending you a request to bridge/help buff Dreck missions within 5 minutes of /unhiding yourself. Obnoxious as hell. Unfortunately their /hide command masks you from your friends and supergroup list windows as well. At least they put in a decent LFG search function. Took 'em a year...hope it doesn't take Blizzard a year to actually listen to players instead of whatever dipshit it was who came up with that half-baked idea for rickshaw rocks. Which, I suppose if they had been implemented well, could've been just as good. Last edited by Iannis : 05-09-2005 at 01:09 AM. |
