Pfft. Those heals were almost soley on Humar. By just healing Humar I healed as much as two slacker shamans!

Humar was able to hang with Reavers and Destroyers, boosting my DPS - very important. And he only died once!

Btw, it's really fucking hard to two-box on one computer.

The only reason I find this remotely exceptable is cause you were healing Humar, still way to make me look slack :P

This begs the question, when is RaidAssist going to display hunter pets? (Or maybe it does already and I just managed to completely miss it.) I can't heal your goddamn pets if I can't see the bar easily. On that note, I also can't heal them if I blow all my mana healing players, so maybe it's a very secondary priority to get that pet bar in.

Still, I'd at least like it for groups. I actually try and heal pets in groups, but sometimes targetting them is too much of a pain. (And yes, I make macros of /target cat in groups.)

Honestly, the very fact that you have to do shit like this says that there's something wrong with how we all spend our time.
The problem is that you can't really have a mmorpg where you consistantly walk in the door and have the boss 15 feet away. (I know, I know, Onyxia; I said consistantly.) Thus, we have trash to clear and lesser mobs to deal with. By and large, many people find trash boring after they've killed them a dozen or so times and tend to pay attention to other things (like the television). This doesn't mean those same bored people don't still enjoy laying the beatdown on the final boss and swinging their wangs around over loot. Thus, it isn't that we're necessarily spending our time incorrectly, but we aren't attentive when paying for the moneyshot with an hour (or 3) of rote hacking. Additionally, what's wrong with adding an extra layer of fun? Many raid-types get off on being the best, this mod is simply another application of this by giving them solid goals to look at. (My prior EQ guild actually had a custom application that parsed logs and did this after the battle, I had forgotten how motivating it was. I want to credit Muppen, but my memory is hazy.)

As a priest, this is a big frustration for me. I don't mind healing hunter pets as long as the hunter uses them properly; I'd prefer to keep them alive, in fact. But there really is no good way to monitor their health unless you're willing to put up with the "show everything's lifebar" spam, and pet classes in general don't ask you to heal their pet until it's almost, or completely, too late.

It doesn't seem like it'd be THAT difficult to put another, smaller, different colored bar on the hunter's bar reporting their pet's health; targeting pets is easy by spamming F2 or whatever twice, it's just monitoring their health that's a pain.

As far as their importance for healing, I heal them just ahead of over-aggroing rogues, so they're down the food chain but still important.

Just get the little pet window dohickey addon. All you have to do is ask the stupid Hunters to be kind and install it. You can move it around and stuff. I only heal Humar and Regret.

I'll find link when I'm home from work.

That one night that Fog mentioned in UBRS was not only a blow-through, but the first time in a long time that we had wiped in UBRS.
