Vanguard looks like its going to do like UO and SWG with npc vendors you can pay for and place in towns, but nothing centralize like an AH and nothing that tells you everything that is for sell like a bazaar feature.

guildwars is a nice diversion from wow if you like the genre,

but it is no mmo..they do not even Say it is a mmo. but a "competitive online roleplaying game"

I also hate bazaar, AH and every kind of shit like that. Because you dislike trading doesn't mean everyone is like you.
I don't really see why a game that doesn't try to please everyone (ala WoW) is that bad. I'd rather play a game with people that have the same tastes than me even if we are a minority than play with a fuckton of people.

As for the other things you pointed out, i never had a problem killing a boss even with only henchmen in my team. So if you have problems killing them, maybe you should learn to play the game before coming here to whine. I agree though that some of the tradeskill items are really rare, but there's not an only set of item. So that's not really a problem again.

Comparing MMO's these days is getting kinda pointless. Most use some of the same ideas, but those are just common anyway, like building cars with 4 wheels.

Its quickly becoming a genre where its like comparing one console game to the next, heh.

I like how gamespots reviews magically didn't suck when they rated wow high and gave it game of the year.

No shit isnt it funny?

WoW got old fast, they all do. it was no super game.

I watch the video review at Gamespot to get a look at the game in action and GW looks fun

I am tired of the EQ'ists that think all MMORPG's should require 8 hours a day of your life for a large e-penis

My fucking god! Some of your little competitive gaming minds will twist anyting into a contest o leetness.

I played the game all through beta and know the shit in and out.

BUT GUESS WHAT?

This is not about the game being "too hard" or unfair or who is a better player.

It's about dumb, broken shit that was admitted as broken and directly PROMISED to be fixed by the producer/devs in repeated ingame chats during beta months ago.

I like guild wars. You bashers don't know what you are missing, at least till battle grounds deliver.

Who gives a rats ass that some company promised something would be fixed with months to go in beta and it didn't get fixed at release?

Tell me which company hasn't done this?

I'm sorry, what broken stuff? Your original post doesn't mention any "dumb, broken shit".

You cited a few challenging points and tried to portray them as "outrageous facts" instead of your opinion, which is all they are.

I'm lvl 19, and the only "broken" shit i've seen so far is mobs attacking me and my group when I go over a vine bridge and there are a bunch of mobs 100 feet below who shouldn't even see me.

Yes, they certainly will, when battle grounds deliver a great incentive to go try guildwars...

At this point I think ramming a large spike into my nutsack has more potential to be enjoyable than anything blizzard promises to implement.

I don't really see the problem here. My characters are making progress quite nicely by salvaging items for cloth/iron/etc. The armor and weapon crafting process isn't really that expensive or time consuming. Especially when you consider the materials vendors.
It's pointless though. You spend all your money on salvage kits to destroy %99.99 of all the loot you'll ever find and a single ID kit in preparation for that 1 in 1000 chakram that has +1 more energy than the standard.

1.) Salvage, salvage, salvage, salvage. salvage, salvage, salvage, buy kit, salvage, salvage, salvage, salvage, buy kit, salvage, salvage, salvage, salvage, salvage. salvage, salvage, salvage, buy kit, salvage, salvage, salvage, salvage, buy kit, salvage, salvage, salvage, salvage, salvage. salvage, salvage, salvage, buy kit, salvage, salvage, salvage, salvage, buy kit, salvage, salvage, salvage, salvage, salvage, salvage, salvage, salvage, salvage, salvage, salvage, salvage, salvage, salvage, salvage. salvage, salvage, salvage, buy kit, salvage, salvage, salvage, salvage, buy kit, salvage, salvage, salvage, salvage, salvage. salvage, salvage, salvage, buy kit, salvage, salvage, salvage, salvage, buy kit, salvage, salvage, salvage, salvage, salvage. salvage, salvage, salvage, buy kit, salvage, salvage, salvage, salvage, buy kit, salvage, salvage....

(This list of salvage, salvage should actually be 6x as long but it illustrates the point.)

2.) Combine, combine, combine, combine, combine, combine.

3.) Repeat.

This braindead process is a pointless exercise and should have/could have been reduced to.

1.) Farm gold.
2.) Buy stuff.

I can almost understand new players being fooled into thinking there's something "deep" or strategic about the whole thing but there just isn't.

It's the same old random farming with a few uneccessary trips to town and a salvage kit money sink tossed in.

I'm pretty sure you haven't even played it in the last 8 months. Your examples are false and baseless and the rest are just your opinions of how something should work.

Let me hand you a clue should you choose to buy the game and actually try it again: Salvage kits make you money if you take all of 2 seconds to figure out what to salvage and what not to. Find fur with an expert salvage kit? Easy 1k.

See, it could have been reduced to farm gold and buy stuff so simpletons don't get annoyed at the prospect of working for your loot, but it isn't because a certain degree of a timesink and challenge is fun.

So in summary, Guild Wars isn't for you? Oh ok.
