| Moo. Pve flag suggestion, flag cooldown to prevent flag ganking. Moo. http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/th...=1#post2768529 Moo. The problem on a Pve(or rp) server is that while you are flagged in combat, anyone can walk up to you unflagged, and then basicly flag gank you. You can't do anything to defend yourself until they flag, which they do usually with burst damage etc. This is really apparent in raids on hostile territories, where a raid in a major city is greatly hindered by people going into the midst of the raid unflagged and flagging and aoe/fearing etc. What i propose is this: 1. When you /pvp flag, you it puts you in a pseudo flagged state. This state does the following: a. You cannot attack a flagged char yet. You can actually not attack anyone since you can't attack unflagged characters anyway. b. It allows flagged chars on the other side to attack you. 2. There are two ways that you can pass this state and become fully flagged, where you can damage the opposing flagged characters. a. You take damage from a flagged character, this automaticly allows you to be fully flagged and able to attack. b. 30 seconds pass since you typed /pvp. This will basicly make people /pvp 30 seconds before they want to actually attack, so any pvp action is able to be countered normally. It prevents flag ganking. It makes people who want to defend a city, flag themselves and then move to counter the invading raid, instead of being able to run in unflagged, and then drop aoe fears/damage spells etc.

| Go back to the WoW General forums. Seriously, go waste your 3rd post over there whining about shamans or rogues or mages, let alone PvP on a PVE server. |

| These are all really really bad, abusable ideas. First off. You have a pvp flag because you did something to get it already. Whereas the people without a flag, have yet to do something. What you want, is the ability to gank. Then avoid being attacked if you can run away for 30 seconds. Did I miss anything? It's awfully hard to read that post. | Moo. This prevents ganking, how would i gank if i had to wait 30 seconds before i can attack anyone? I'd basicly have to type /pvp first, then a. wait 30 seconds. b. be attacked by someone already flagged.

| I would call you a retard, but I don't want to insult actual retards or those we would call retards, because that would offend them. I for one would love to see a GM implement your super asstastic solution ONLY on you and give you a special /pvp character animation where you turn around, pull your pants down, and spread your asscheeks as every opposing player now has 30 free seconds to surround you, then gank / pound you in the ass. GO THE FUCK BACK TO THE WOW BOARDS NEWB Last edited by Malakriss : 04-23-2005 at 06:40 PM. |

+4 Internets | I think anyone in a capitol city should get auto flagged, not just the opposing faction. Maybe even any faction based town at all. |

| I see nothing wrong with this idea. Dont want to get ganked during the 30sec dont flag near people. Its bullshit when an unflagged pally/warrior/whatever can run into the middle of the other factions raid aoe fear/concecrate/etc. and then just run off. But then mabye I'm just pissy because an unflagged pally ran straight through 30 flagged horde straight to me while i was drinking hit me poped a concecrate shielded and ran off. teh ghey. |

+15 Internets | A better idea would be for a non-flagged person to have to type /pvp before they can attack a flagged person, if you are gonna run with that.

This is the exact thing they would have to do, type /pvp and wait 30 seconds (or until they are attacked by someone already flagged)

+17 Internets | Moo. Heh, I still believe they should make a new server, make it FFA, make level 60s always flagged for PVP, and remove guards totally, and anyone transfer there(and open new servers as necessary). |

+62 Internets | I agree with the OP, though 30 seconds is way too long. Something closer to 3-6 seconds. So you can at least react. We tried taking out Tyrande one night and what would happen is a paladin would hit invuln, stun someone and then run away and wait for their flag/invlun to come back up, then repeat. Druids would spam moonfire from as far as away as possible and run till the flag reset, etc...etc... Though I must admit, having 5 mages with invis trinkets all flag at the same time and open up with APAE spam and watch an entire opposing raid force die in 4 seconds made me happy in my pants. |

| The fact that you type "Moo" at the beginning of every post just reminds me that you are a USDA Grade A Fucking Moron and that I should ignore the rest of what you type. Thank you for providing me with that, most of the rest of the idiots require me to read the post before I remember they are fucking stupid.

| moo ibtr moo Why not just make some kinda in between color/state with a short (3s or so) timer kinda like a duel before you can attack anyone... to give em a warning. Your 30s idea is idiotic. Next time someone ganks you and you're upset, go try pvping in some heavy traffic. |
