| this would be awesome! this way, I can gank anyone that comes to defend a town I'm attacking. This way, one by one, anyone that joins will instatnly be at a disadvantage! I doubt this would prevent anyone from helping a friend they see in battle or coming to world defense alerts! No way! please tell me this guy is only allowed to post in rickshaw now

| I think this is a pretty reasonable solution to prevent unflag ganking. I believe this problem exists on PVP servers as well, since in cities the defending faction isn't flagged until they attack someone. Alternatively, could have it so that as soon as a faction leader drops below say, 85% hp, anyone within a certain radius is automatically flagged. |

+62 Internets | Maybe only in city zones then. Because what they do is they stand near your raid, then hit their flag, do one or two annoying things, then run away and you can't really give chase unless you want to be raped by the 50~100 people waiting for their flags to refresh just behind a wall of guards. With a 3 second yellow state, you could pre-burst them or they'd at least have to come in hot. This standing next to the MT and fearing him then leaping off a balcony or some shit is bullshit. |

| So this post is about someone on a PVE server feeling that it's unfair that when they toggle their PVP flag people who are unflagged, ie, those people who DIDN'T WANT TO PVP can then get first shot against them? |

| More like it gives people that are in the middle of PvPing the chance to recognize the incoming attack. How many times has a unflagged warrior charged in, flagged and ruin your shit? I do it all the time, so I know it's gotta be annoying. |

| If it's a problem in city even on pvp server then maybe yeah there is a point. But for pve server I think that since the average person is not likely to be an hardcore pvper, the fact that they get to jump you balance things out a bit imo. If you have your flag on you are likely to be ready and equiped to deal with pvp. On another note, I did my first pvp yesterday and 1 thing for sure, I don't really know if I'm any good at this but I sure as hell know that my computer isn't. If yesterday was any indication of what mass pvp is like I say fuck this shit. Thorbadin www.starsonata.com |

| And how does anyone propose that works for stealthers, since you won't have visuals on them or be able to target them anyway? It sounds so simple: When I don't want to PVP I don't want to be able to be attacked, but when I do want to PVP I don't want to be able to be attacked by people who look like they don't want to PVP even though they are my enemy and standing nearby but unflagged for PVP. When they toggle over to PVP I want to be notified somehow so that I will have a giant invisible hand stroking my balls telling me, in a reassuring whisper "Another enemy is flagging, but don't fret, I'm sure you'll do very well" I think they should an mp3 that goes off every time the enemy, flagged or not, comes on your screen that yells "OMG OMG WHAT NOW?" But I agree, it's a huge issue and they really need to make sure every battle is completely fair and gives you warning when it might not be fair anymore. ![]() |

| There is a reason why BGs are going to be capped and on instance servers. Well, actually there's two reasons - the other is to piss off all the Alliance who can't get into BGs because they outnumber the Horde a googolplex to one. |

| Well it's pretty stupid to be on a city raid and then have like 7 unflagged mages run in and try to home in on your healers in tight quarters. I mean apart from the healers spreading out, what exactly are you supposed to do? At the same time there's a priest following the MT around. You know it's going to be AE pain to the healers and a fear to the warrior, but what the fuck are you supposed to do? Last edited by DelheruRN : 04-25-2005 at 03:10 PM. |
