II thought it was confirmed by candyam that the patch is NOT today.

Ha I knew it was gonna be patch day. I camped out by the engineering vendor so I can snag the new schematics before the fuckwads come and try to resell them.

Last night we did Onyxia, and most of the hunters in attendance were bitching about getting massive amounts of misses/deflects through the whole fight. So it is possible from a PVE perspective this may help ranged classes. May not though, I honestly don't know.

I don't play a hunter, but is this going to make it like your fighting a lvl 70-80 when you fight a warrior with a buncha defense gear in pvp?

Maybe! On the plus side when most warriors PVP they tend to load up on crit gear rather than defense gear. Hunters already have issues beating warriors regardless though, so it seems this may just make it even more lopsided.

As a warrior, I can't think of a single piece of +def gear I wear while PVP'ing, so I doubt it will make much of a difference for hunters.

But maybe now you will, seems like it'll force them to melee you since they won't be hitting you ranged with 400+ defense.

I always just wore my normal PVE gear fighting hunters and win almost every time. Warriors just have a lot of decided advantages against hunters.

While they may need to retune hunters as a result, this change makes absolute sense to me.

Basing hit/miss on an arbitrary figure like level is dumb. Basing it on defese is completely logical.

Nah, most still won't bother. I would have to give up 30-40% crit depending on what I'm wearing, which would put me at a disadvantage against everything else I'm fighting. Hunters aren't a class I worry about to begin with, wouldn't change gear to account for them.

Zero resists on the items and set bonus?
