Well look at it form a marketing perspective, you have a developer posting somewhere about their game other than their official forums. They're targetting a demograph outside their current customers with updates about what they're doing, they're also showing that they understand whats going on and have made plans to fix it. To people who play these games as a serious hobby this makes me consider purchasing a game/renewing a cancelled subscription. Take Brad for example, I didn't really think Vanguard was going to be a great game, but having him post here defintely sparked my interest. As long as the person isn't slamming the game publically and not updating their existing community through their official boards I can't see it as being a bad thing.

Take this topic for example, it's a great topic and I'm sure Tigole is dying to post about upcoming ideas he has and what blackwing's lair is like.. but he can't. These kind of conversations are always turned into heaping piles of shit on the offical boards (or buried with no reply in minutes), and nobody ever asks the hard questions. By imposing stupid restrictions on their developers they're shooting themselves in the foot.. =/

Someone told me there is still a los around Luciferons curse, however we havent found it yet so we do it curses on everyone, makes it more fun anyway I guess. with those curse hes tougher than all the bosses, Majordomo and Sulfuron aside. We have a tougher time with him than we do with Onyxia.

I do however agree that something needs to be done with the AOE thing. Its just a pain. On Golomag the rogues run in, do a few backstabs, back out, bandage up, rinse repeat, its just not a good time. Magmadar is unique. I don't like the fight though probolly one of the most stressful IMO. But, once you take down Magmadar your going to clear to Majordomo in like a total of 2 weeks because all the fights require the same strats for the most part. Course.. taking him down is something entierly different and Ragnaros is not even on the same playing field as any other boss in MC.

It's just the mechanics of the game. They fights are all unique, but they are all the same. The resists are not worth it for other classes to get up, they lose to much DPS for not enough reward, IE risk vs reward. 250 FR you have like a 45% chance of resisting 75% of the spell?

i concur

blizzard needs to realize the inadequacy of their own forums as a venue for all WoW public relations, there are a lot of people in the community who prefer to stay away from that shitpile.

i'm not convinced of what the actual harm of developers for WoW posting here is

the fact that Brad is allowed to post here and share cool information with us makes me feel like the Vanguard dev team is more comfortable openly comminicating with it's playerbase than the WoW team is, something which means quite a bit to me and a lot of former EQ'ers, having been subject to lots of content which could have benefitted heavily from increased player feedback and communication.

its healthy for gaming companies to realize there are communities of players out there, on message boards like this one, who have a lot more maturity and experience thinking about the games they play than the general public.

As thomas Jefferson said, "The Masses are Asses"
