PVP Rewards.

I apologize in advance if this is undesired information to post, however, someone was able to go into the officer's barracks or something and look at the PVP rewards there:

Classes:

Sorry, no info on Shamans(I didn't save it).

Depending on the set bonus I might wear all of it. Some of the items need a little work, namely the warrior and paladin ones.

The druid ones are a bit low on intellect, they're a feral equip template really.

The hunter ones are pretty nice. I don't like that some of the DM stuff is comparable to them, but oh well.

The mage stuff is really good, because STA is great for mages as they are highly targetted, and it has crit chance.

The paladin set has too little int, 14 intellect on that set is trash.

As a priest, I'd wear the blue PVP armor for sure.

The warrior ones don't have enough STR. The same six slots from valor give 89 STR where as the PVP set gives 56. One thing that should be noted is that warriors in PVP go for STR over STA more than warriors in PVE, as they spend less time 'tanking' in PVP than PVE(against good opponents at least).

I might as well not consider the epic sets as being part of the game, because it's unlikely a high amount of people in my guild will acquire them.

I am curious as to where the resists that are in MC gear are.

Overall I thought the PVP rewards were okay, not as good as I had hoped, but okay. I suppose you could say that I don't want the guilds that laboured in MC and Onyxia doing stuff I just don't want to do to have an edge over us item wise. I'd prefer that games rewarded for doing the most enjoyable thing we could find, and because that, for me, is PVP, then I hope PVP rewards deliver. For a priest, they do.

They seem like too much work to maintain for their quality, I'd rather bang my head against a wall in Molten Core then PvP 40 hours a week to get/maintain these. On average they seem be somewhere between might battlegear and wrath (for warriors). Which from what we last heard from tigole were being upgraded. The only thing that really interests me is the epic 2handers. Any pvp'ing rogues check out the 2.00 speed 50 dps dagger? talk about a poorly thought out weapon.. you're going to have rogues one shotting casters in no time. All in all it just seemed rushed/not well put together.

With a lack of a real place to actually go against other people the pvp rewards system is just going to turn places like hillsbrad into an unplayable cluster fuck. This is going to make certain areas totally useless for leveling characters...

They should have implemented some place for 5 man pvp, 1 on 1's.. some sort of instanced arena to give out awards in. I don't see anything less than droves of people sub 60 leaving pvp servers because their leveling area is a perma filled with pvp'ers ganking everyone and every thing.

good thing they didn't fuck up the hunter set by giving the items bonus to "attack power" and not "ranged attack power."

oh wait.......

They already said the weapons were placeholders, which is why the stats are the exact same.

oh wait.......
Except that +"attack power" on equip gives attack to both melee and ranged.

+"attack power" in buffs does not give atk to ranged. This is totally different.

Have a nice day.

Sure I'm paraphrasing what was an excellent post, but Tripamang gives some Sage advice here.

The Warlock gear is a bit surprising to me. Perhaps I missed some massive changes since I left, but those effects are pretty much bullshit unless you're spamming SP. And considering it's PvP gear, I really was expecting some more help with the DoTs rather than the Generic +DMG. But what the fuck do I know, I quit.

apparently the top .1% of each faction is rank 14

some of my friends have said its not too time consuming if youre not a newb to maintain rank 12-13, rank 14 may require considerable maintenance...i havent had too much motivation to play on test personally

so most of the purple PvP armor will be attainable by a pretty significant number of people in most servers

Where is the spirit on cloth armor?

have they finally realized items with 5 sta 5 int 25 spirit suck ass?

Now when will they fix all the broken blue cloth armor in lowend instances?

That would be exploitable as hell. Get a few people on both sides. Then let them own you over and over in a private instance. Then switch. I guarantee someone is gonna try some shit like that even without 5v5 instances.

That 2h isn't actually from PVP rewards(the plans), dunno why it was included in them. You get those plans by giving the thorium brotherhood guy in BRD a sulfuron ingot.

I agree that the materials are a bit steep for its quality, but rumor is it's used to create sulfuras, which will be a legendary weapon - the first legendary weapon there is, most likely.

I'm hoping that the Warlock set bonuses do MORE then just that gimp searing pain effect (seriously, if I'm getting DAMAGED, searing pain is one of the last damn things I'm gonna be casting unless they are very low life and shadowburn/death coil are down). SP is nice and all, but unless you score crits or have a shitload of +fire, you are basically tossing spitballs.

The standard really disappoints me...it's basically a totem ;( I was hoping for a standard you wore on your abck ;(

I was worried about what kind of gear these PvP rewards would give.

I am still of the opinion that a guild of people who organize 40+ people to kill the biggest baddest shit in the game should have people with better gear than someone who finds a sweet solo gank-streak spot to rack up PvP kills. I was of the opinion that the PvP reward gear should certainly be good, but not TOO good. I am pleasantly suprised to see that, at least in my opinion, this seems to be what we have here. This gear isn't the best shit on earth, but it isn't too bad either. I can live with that.
