| Anyone else feel like this about MC? That all the encounters are all too alike? Shazzarh, Golemagg, Sulfrion, Magamadar, Gehnnas etc. It's all also, Ok tank goes in and everyone else range. I mean coulden't they of thought of something else besides this? |

| I'm guessing you play a ranged character? As a warrior all of the fights are enjoyable and exciting for me except the Shazzrah fight. But if the rumors are true and he gets blink next patch... it should be much more interesting. |

I would rather of seen more onyxia type fights, that have mulitple stages than another deadly curse/aoe damage mob. Onyxia is essentially 3 fights, and you get rewarded nicely for winning. Doing a 3 stage encounter and getting 3x the rewards is better than doing a flat boring battle for 1/3rd the reward. Oh and if you look at molten core in general, tanking in every single 5 group instance is about 2x harder than tanking in molten. It's just so boring because it's just one mob and unlimited rage (atleast from a warriors perspective). Hopefully Tigole has some better shit in store for Deathwing's Lair | |

| As a mage, only Lucifron Gehannas Geddon and Majordomo require me to pay attention to the fight. Curses for Luci and Gehennas, Geddon for the bomb (<3 killing 5 ppl at once) and sheeping for Domo. However patch change should make Shazzrah (blinking Shazzrah uh oh) more interesting as well as Golemagg (porting to furnace will make this fight even lamer on healer mana.) Personally though as Horde the biggest problem is healer numbers and mana... |

Taunt, one sunder, oops, mage pulled it off you and you have no rage, bloodrage, taunt, sunder again, oops, lost aggro, no rage, bloodrage is cooling down. Switch to battle, mocking blow, oops it misses / is parried / dodged, you're SOL while it's hitting the caster / rogue until taunt recycles again, when you HOPE you have enough rage to finally get a lockdown on the mob. If you don't crest that initial point of locking down a mob to supply you with rage to keep aggro up, it's pretty rough sometimes. In MC or Onyxia you get to hit all your skills as soon as they refresh, though, even MS... so much rage. | |

| After all taht MC we went to BRD for 5 man for twinks and boy was it fun when a 8 mob pull turned into a 32 mob pull... and we lived.. Far funner than facing one mob at a time From what Tigole said of Blackwing Lair though, its strucutred as a set of rooms that you progress (exactly unlike MC and Onyxia) so maybe they have some great encoutners in there.. Ring War anyone? |

| Yea, has there been much info about blackwing's lair? I hope it's slightly larger then Onyxia's lair, meaning there is at least a couple mini bosses. Not as much as MC though, somewhere in between. 2-3 miniboss encounters, with loot, before getting to Blackwing possibly. |

| When is the southern part of silithus gonna be implemented ? There is easily room for 20 big encounters. (there is a way through the eastern mountains to make it into the area) Sorry for the further derail. |

| Ahn'Qulai or whatever it is called in Southern Silithus is supposed to be gigantic... my guildmate went into the caves and its larger than MC Blackwing is supposed to be hardcore, really hardcore - I dont know about its size but I'd say its far longer than just a few mini bosses and then Blackwing. Instead, its sets of rooms each with their encounter and boss and eventually after differnet sets you reach Blackwing himself. From what I know from lists and info of compiled zones coming out in the future: Blackwing Lair (in UBRS - raid zone) Alterac Valley (battleground in Alterac Mtns.) Those two are for sure coming out soon Others in development: -Caverns of Time (Tanaris) -Uldum (Tanaris) -Hyjal (by Winterspring - you can go in there now if you want at your own risk) -Emerald Dream (??) -Necropolis Naxxramas (in Stratholme, where Kel'Thuzad lives) -Azshara Crater (battleground in Azshara) -Karazhan (Medivh's Tower in Deadwind Pass) -Outlands (through Dark Portal in Blasted Lands? It is known that the zone files are already out in our folders and that people have used zone viewers to see it, makes sense too since Illidan is supposedly the toughest mob in game right now but he's hiding there) -Zul'Gurub (another troll instance, in STV, the unfinished area) -Ahn'Quiraj (Southern Silithus area) -Grim Batol (Wetlands) Theres also an exact copy of Onyxia's entrance in Hyjal which might mean another instance in Hyjal itself or a dragon lair or what not Dark Portal opened via Medivh's Spellbook supposedly and Kel Thuzad has it! These are other zones we know are being worked on or were thought of and maybe or may not be implemented (certainly could be expansion content): -Maelstrom (underwater city of Naga as well as Tomb of Sargeras) -Gilneas (human city-state south of Silverpine, walled off) -Kul Tiras (not on map but should be) -Quel'Thalas (in plaguelands theres a path north blocked off by logs with an elf NPC named Adon.. Add-on heh) -Old Ironforge (there was once a tunnel down that was sealed by Magni and other places in Ironforge supposedly as well) Now honestly I don't know how many are scrapped, may be added as expansions, or what not Of course the zone designs may be out and done well (Hyjal is all laid out nicely, just no mobs or items) - but experience may change zones. All the whining over Azuregos and Kazzak griefing may change their mind on outdoor competitive raid targets (which Southern Silithus certainly is) - as well as cries for 20-25 man instance raid zones (theres rumors that Karazhan was suppsoed to be a 5 man instance in the TOFS style of EQ but may now be converted to 20-25 man content). |

| I kind of am inclined to agree, but as far as Gehennas goes you sort of have to be on your toes, especially with the AEs, or you'll die fast. As a Warlock, though, it does seem I tend to chaincast Shadow Bolt a lot, since a lot of things are fire immune in the Core (and rightly so, but still!). I really wish I could dispel curses, but then again I don't want to get yelled at during Kazzak/Gehennas as to why the curse isn't dispelled ![]() |
