| Raid lockout MC I've recently encountered the problem most of you have been discussing over the past few months, and find myself equally frustrating. We kill Lucifron last Sunday around 6pm EST. We go back in Friday, kill Magmadar and the raid was to expire Saturday (last night) evening at 6pm according to our raid ID. Prior to the raid expiring, we had no issues getting people into the same instance. Now Saturday, we all group up, convert to raid, head in, and find ourselves in two raids. In fact, through meddling we were able to get two seperate raid parties, and a guy who was logged out in MC into the same instance. Three seperate group entities into the same instance. I don't so much need an answer, though some ideas on the mechanic of the bug would be helpful. But I'm really more concerned with the duration I can expect to be locked out. Is it 24 hrs? Is it another six days? |

| You should only be split/locked out for the remaining time on your current instance (Saturday evening at 6pm). There are a few things you should understand to avoid this in the future. The raid split bug in it's current incarnation happens when some of the raid has a /raidinfo ID for Molten Core and new additions have no raid ID saved. You can do 2 things to avoid splitting when adding new people. 1) After the raid is over for the night add a person with no /raidinfo ID and have them zone in. Most of the time they get saved to the instance within a couple minutes of zoning. 2) Keep the raid "alive". The first night's raid (when you kill Lucifron and get saved) should not be disbanded. You can add alternate characters to the raid if people need to leave to do other stuff, or just have a few people stay in the raid. They can logout normally and still be in the raid, just make sure they don't manually leave the raid. Keeping the raid alive is what everyone does to avoid raid split bug. Now regarding the current split situation: There is a different timer you have to be aware of. When someone zones into MC in a raid, that raid/spawn set will be active until everyone is out of the zone for about 30 minutes. This is why someone who just did Attunement to the Core quest will be split from a newly formed MC raid unless they wait for 30 minutes or so. It's possibly longer than 30 minutes and you may also need to be ungrouped but I am not sure. Just be aware of this active instance timer, it's different than the /raidinfo ID timer. Just keep the first nights raid alive and you wont get split and can add new people without /raidinfo's anytime during the week. |

| Make a raid group, never disband it. When you need to disband, log in 2 twinks and hold it, when u need to raid, use those 2 twinks to invite and transfer leadership.

| Yeah it's fucking bullshit still. They didn't fix the damn problem they just made it work differently. I hope it gets fixed next patch. Keeping the raid together isn't that big of a deal but its a god damn inconvience that shouldn't need to happen.

| Hey I really appreciate the feedback, it helped. For that situation, we waited 24 hrs after the first raid expired, then grouped to go back in. While we were prepping for Gehennas, I was rotating people out, confirming they had raid ID, then reinviting original folks. We were able to save a bench team of about 15 or so. We also gave raid leadership to someone that wasn't going to be online until we went back in tonight, and our hope is that they can continue to bring new people in as well for the ID save. I want to doubly thank you guys again, I can tell you've all dealt with the frustration to the point you wouldn't wish it on someone else. Whatever the reason, my gratitude. |
