Put this in your guild bank and smoke it!

Their Guild Banker was suspended for having "excessively large amounts of in-game currency"

I was the guild bank in my eq1 guild for quite awhile before GoD. Before it switched to someone else I think I had several millions, 13 or 14 at least plus all the items. The running joke was that I was gonna ebay and buy myself a new house and car. I didn't obviously, but I sometimes wonder exactly how much I could have gotten

I wonder how much gold this guy had. You gotta figure other guild banks or even AH/pharm happy individuals are reaching that cap.

I hate to say this but the Keystone Cop GMs at Blizzard are making the GMs at SOE look like geniuses. Here they are going after an innocent guild treasurer while letting the scumsucking Chinese farmers go free.

Each day I grow more and more saddened at how arroganct management at Blizzard has royally screwed up their game and now their customer service is in a shambles. I beginning to feel that Vanguard is our only hope left for the online gaming world.

I can't believe how even a supposed 1700 gold and 12 epic mount purchases even indicates an excessive amount of cash.

There are solo characters that could have earned that much by now. Entire guilds could get that much cash in a couple days.

Heh if you scan through the thread there are apparently several people that had this happen. Seems like they decided to do some last minute account locks before the weekend.

That is seriously retarded. How about flagging the account and investigating before you lock the account. Ya' know....so you don't fuck honest players?! I mean, it's good that they aren't going to let people get away with duping and the like, but there are better ways to go about enforcing the policies.

Hmm they might be telling the truth. I can see a few others scenarios though:

1) guild banker ebays the huge sum of money and then comes up with the fake letter for guildmates

2) guild banker banned for some type of hack and then comes up with the fake letter for guildmates

Personally, i'd give the benefit of the doubt to Blizzard over some random bnet poster. I doubt they are maliciously banning folks without reason.

You're optimism on Blizzard's behalf is making me sick.

Uhh so Blizzard has never wrongfully banned someone before?

Guy over at Monkly-Business got banned 2 weeks into the Europe Retail for selling gold on ebay, his character is level 20 and he barely has enough to train skills. Blizzard won't answer him.

http://p201.ezboard.com/fmonklybusin...D=1756 .topic

Ban first, ban later, ban some more and then when everybody's banned try to ask a question or two.

We do the exact same thing with our guild bank(which I run) and he does at times have a ridiculous amount of money. I'd say he averages about 150g a night. For a long time every level 50-60 character on our server was wearing gear we farmed and sold in the AH.

But I guess I better start spreading our money out over a few alts, to avoid being banned.

Guilty until proven innocent! nice policy!

By the sound of it, they haven't really been reasoning with some cases, and using some sort of crazy cavalier system of banning.

Now, for the awesome quotes -

I find this completely unacceptable, hopefully the Gm who did this will just remove themselves from the gene-pool with a shotgun.
