| End of quest cheesing Tigole has indicated that cheesing 5 man quests in raids via dropping out will be eliminated in next content patch (April 19th). In my opinion its frankly too late to put the genie back in the bottle. Walk around ironforge and you'll see hundreds of argent xxxx's, warblades, and strands, and frankly I would say 1% of them were earned the legit way, if not less. It will hurt a couple people perhaps, but 3 specific quest lines (butcher, archivist, bijou) should be totally reset for all players. At the same time, retroactivly nerf by 10% or so the stats on the above items and rename them (and make them never drop again obviously). Also buff a couple specific items in those quest lines - argent avenger and defender both blow relatively, darrowspike is a joke for the difficulty of the quest line, etc. It will piss people off obviously but it was CLEARLY not intended to be able to complete quests by dropping in raids. Too fucking bad. One more thing - how about a non-raid kill drakkisath quest? Lets see who the real ubers are. |

| Link? Assuming it's true, Blizzard has known about this since those quests went live in beta. Why bother to change it 5 months after release now? Like it's been said, the genie is out of the bottle. Player expectations have already been set one way, right or wrong. I can't imagine the shitstorm that will hit the WoW boards and general channels in game if this happens. |

+19 Internets | This is going to shit can a lot of guilds who are still doing the LBRS/UBRS crawl, pretty much extended the whole ordeal by another month. Yeah it was cheesy, but it should be more then 5. This would be equal to removing FD from EQ monks 5 months in, or putting the death penalty back into SWG (I don't even know what it is anymore, I remember at lauch there was a bug so they completely removed it). |

+2 Internets | He didn't give a date but I'm pretty sure it's before April 19th. http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/th...tmp=1#post1867 is the thread. |

| the problem is this screws people over who don't have access to a solid pool of healers if your guild has 50 members and only 2 priests and a druid, well then, guess what 35 people get to sit out while the other 15 do 5 man groups in instances for gear so if youre like me and the 90374205725972th 60 warrior on your server who isn't in a well-organized guild to pair you up with guild healers, time to reroll as a priest i guess? or just don't do quests? i think for a lot of people this just makes questing in high end instances more trouble than its worth, considering for a lot of slots you can get just as good or better items from boss drops? and as previous posters mentioned, all the really hardcore people who started near release already finished all these quests anyway, so all this seems to accomplish is artificially widening the gap between them and people who didnt buy WOW the first day it came out |

| Maybe we could get a blue response and we could get a big gold star next to your name so people know that YOU got YOUR Magister legs with only 5 people! Then we'll see who the TRUE UBERS ARE!!!1 You people are funny. ![]()

| Well, I think if you have a guild of 50 people with only 3 healers, you need to make your business plan something other than randomly inviting people in Ironforge. I acknowledge that healers don't grow on trees, but if you want to have a raiding guild, you have to have some kind of coherent recruiting plan, or you'll wind up with 25 rogues. We can argue all day about whether people who cheesed these quests "should" be nerfed but I think it's obvious that it's not gonna happen. Who cares really. If this game has any kind of a future, there will be plenty more instances, plenty more quests along these lines, plenty of chances for the truly skilled players to show they can do it all with a single group. So don't get your undies in a bundle over 3 quest lines that got cheesed, at the end of the day it will make no difference. |

| In the same patch however they are supposed to be making these dungeons much more 5-man friendly by doing things like increasing the respawn time in the Stratholme guantlet and in Scholomance. Changing the mobs in Scholo not to flee anymore. And so on... Meaning it should be a little more realistic to finish the quests with only 5 people. |
