Updates on a few WoW issues

This is for those who don't want to brave the chaos of the wow boards.

Server Transfers?

They are going to be from high-population to low-population and across the same rulesets -- I don't know at this time whether transfer between timezones will be an option.

Getting exalted status for other mounts?

http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/th...tmp=1#blizzard

Quote:
Great timing, Apophis! I only just received the answer to this inquiry moments ago. Currently it's not possible to obtain the Exalted status necessary to obtain another race's mount. The development team realizes that this is a problem and are actively working on adding faction quest content that can be repeated by players, similar to what exists for the Argent Dawn factional quests.

Please keep in mind that the faction currently being gained will still be useful when the said changes have been implimted, as players will be that much closer to hitting the Exalted mark.

Spirit issue?

http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/th...tmp=1#blizzard

Quote:
Rest assured, improvements to Spirit as it applies to each class is being looked into by the development team, Dunbary. As soon as additional information has been made available to me concerning this particular statistic, I will provide an update.
Small BG bone?

I have seen the PvP Reward Kodo, and it is incredible. I hope that answers that question.

As to the Tauren's lack of mount choice, I'll speak to the developers about it when I can.

Forgive me if any of this has been posted. But I felt the need to show that some more information is finally coming through.

True it is not an ETA but it is communication. They are letting us know they recognize the problem, which is a lot better the the previous "we will look into it".

If it was as easy as 1 line of code that didn't need to be tested then they'd do it. It's hard, and yet they're still doing it.

Now, if eight months from now it's still not fixed, then we have a problem. But right now, for instance, the exhalted status issue has been on the table for, what, a month? A little more? How much time do you think it takes to add several quests, for each race's faction, test them, and release them?

Thanks for the updates on this stuff.

Sure sounds like a good reason to bitch to me. Even more so after you take a peek over at patchtimer.org. Lip service only goes so far until it's time to start demanding action. Their time has come.

Hmmm... I think I can manage a tidbit drop or two about what's up for Warriors in the next patch...

Heroic Strike's damage is increasing.

The Execute bug -- when all rage is consumed upon a miss/dodge/parry/etc. -- is being fixed.

Thunder Clap's damage will be Physical rather than Nature-based. The damage itself is increasing, and the duration will increase with each new rank.

That's not everything... but does that help?

YAY! As a warrior I applaud this "future" Patch! Now. Give me an ETA/Patch day or all this is doing is pissing me off more!

You have gained 100 Rage!
You missed your Execute!
You lost ALL your Rage!
You have gained 100 Frustration!

they are giving us small previews..

means the patch is almost upon us.

i have a few friends who are GM's @ blizzard (there are almost 200 of them btw) and they've said the patch is gonna be huge.

The raid lockout bug is fixed internally and said fix will be in the next patch. The instance will save your progress at the proper time, and you should go to your raid leader's instance upon zoning in. You will also have access to a new /raidinfo command that shows your remaining time on the saved instance.
http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/th...=1#post1741420

my god, it's fixed internally..

Edit: All it took was a direct attack from SoE to smarten up? jesus... =/ In the last 24 hours they've actually given out information instead of bullshit.

They must be testing the final patch and finishing writing the patch notes, seeing as all this new information is suddenly available. My guess in next week or the week after (barring any major issues found during testing).
