It seems to be a fairly popular thing to do. I guess that is what happens when you do pick-up raids with retarded loot rules. I still didn't get to see the screenshot on that site, I am thinking it wasn't prepared for people to visit in and crapped out.

Heh, the funny part about that quote is I've seen it many times but seen it quoted from many people.

Anyway this looks like the new big news... Another day another Thados or loot whore. Ive seen that link brought up many times, kinda funny too how on the realm forums the guy whom won it switched servers thinking that would help. Looks like he will want to abandon that name...

All the screenshot showed was the guy training Enchanting, and then disenchanting it. If you were curious, Deathstriker disenchants into 3x Large Brilliant Shards :P

That is poor raid management, he had no business rolling on it. When he asked to roll he should have been punted from the raid and told to fuck off.

Sure it was a pickup raid but if you are a raid leader and don't demand at least SOME level of etiquette you mays well make loot rules "whoever can ninja loot fastest". Which is what this boils down to.

Well as fucked up as this is, you gotta realize alot of these people are "bnet kidz" from D2, where all the loot goes to whoever is able to click the corpse the fastest.
As sucky as Group Loot is, its leaps and bounds above D2 heh (at least the rogues on this raid had a *chance* to roll).

Moral of the story is that pickup raids blow, and any item you want from one of these raids is likely to be looted by some guy that can't even use it.

I heard somwhere that the Master Looter option doesn't work very well, can anyone verify? How does it work? Can anyone loot trash but if an item meets a threshold then the master looter gets a box to decide who gets it?

ML works so that only the masterlooter can loot the corpse and when he does he can decided who gets loot by right clicking the item, which brings up a list of players.

The downside is that I've notice in groups with 20+ people like MC, ML bugs out often so some people aren't on the list.

Our priest Quzip spit fire when he had master looter on and was farming up a Princess dagger, thing dropped and he was the only one unable to loot it. Regular, non-raid group.
