constant molten core resets

We have never had any raid lockout issues but have had a different one - our molten core instance resets every night. Its been this way for weeks. Last night we kill the front 6 bosses, come back tonight hoping to finish it off, everythings back up. We never disband our original raid group. Anyone have a clue?

Could be worse, ours doesn't even spawn mobs.

Though I wonder if that makes us the first guild to clear MC?

That happened to us for a week or so when we began raiding MC, and then we went two weeks with normal spawns.

However today it respawned itself again after having cleared yesterday. It's not necessarily a bad bug to have but it does kinda hamper progression. I'll still take it over being split three ways though.

Had this happen on Thursday even though normal reset day is monday. And yes we too are keeping the raid group alive throughout the week, not sure if it's connected to that or not.

C&Ping from our board...

Quote:
A GM contacted me about Molten Core today. Unfortunately, the screenshots I took of the conversation didn't actually take. Evil or Very Mad

The gist of the conversation though, was that we are at fault, because apparently using ANY UI modifications can poof entire zones. While the GM staff has never heard of this particular bug, I was told that use of UI mods is to blame.

Also, any who sent in petitions about Molten Core but did not get a response :

The GM informed me that your petitions were eaten a few days ago when some internal server died. (Yes...read that sentence again).

They did try to re-create the issue, but instead ended up getting raid-bugged themselves, or crashing themselves, so they could not investigate our leet new exploit.

They also said they do not have the ability to reset our instance save. They suggested we try to restart a new raid, thus exposing ourselves to the raid lock out bug instead.

The final solution offered was before we zone into Molten Core, we need to reset our UI's completely, then zone in.

I'm pretty sure we could achieve world peace if it wasn't for those damn UI mods holding us back.

Sweet fucking jesus. The UI mods despawn the zone? What? WHAT?

A) If even such a retarded thing was true, why do they give us the ability to use it?

B) It...can't be true. Seriously. That's stupid.

They blame UI mods for everything. I'm sure they've blamed them for the server stability problems once or twice now at least.

Funny that when I discovered they decided that storing every single UI ability setting on server is worth the overhead, I just thought it would be foolish to think that the UI actually interfaces with the DUNGEON and FLAG SYSTEM directly.

Anyone evolved would just assume that the client could never be allowed to send corrupt data back into the server: that the server would run checks on any sensitive data and correct the client. Laugh.

Since when do they store all UI settings on the server? I know when I switch comps the only thing that is left are the positions of my abilities on the action bar. I don't think I even have my macros left.

I've heard people say (never tried it myself) that if you log onto your account on a different computer or whatever your UI settings stay with the account like your tool bar settings and what icon you have where....
