EQ2: Adventure pack sneak peek

First Adventure Pack Info At EQ2 Mondes Perstistants

The French EQII site, Mondes Persistants has some info about the first EQII Adventure Pack, entitled "The Bloodlines Chronicles".

The article is in French, and can be found here. Basically, it looks like it will be available on the 21st of March, and is centered around the storyline regarding Nektulos Forest and the lost city of Neriak.

http://eq2vault.ign.com/fullstory.php?id=5713

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks to free online translators (since I don't speak a lick of French), you can kind of see what The Bloodlines Chronicles includes:

"You all awaited it, and well veiled it!
First Adventure Pack for Everquest II will leave 21 the Mars and will have as a subtitle The Bloodlines Chronicles.

It will be available in digital remote loading for the moderate amount of 4?99 and will concern especially the characters of lvl30 with 45. You will discover there a new type of narrative contents rich and plentiful while plunging to deepest of the mysterious caves of Nektulos Forest to inquire into the strange events which occurred in the country of Norrath.

With the program:

Face the inhabitants of the underground worlds to discover the buried secrecies of Tombs of Night and penetrate - if you have courage of it
- in the Crypt of You Haen to face the legendary lord of thealive
ones.
But the history does not stop there...:
- free important Update.
- progressive Narration.
- New legendary searches.
- Five very new areas to be explored and conquer.
- Tombs of Night will be free for all the players when the new episode is revealed on March 21, 2005.
- the players who reserve the Chronicles of the Bloody Line will have priority to reach Tombs of Night and will be able to unearth objects which will be never again available after launching.
- Made new experiments in solo, in group and raids.
- Meet new wild creatures like the Vampires, Hellhounds, Fleshgoyles et*Revenants.
- Scenario based on factions - Choose to support the Fraternity of the Night or the Hand of Marr.
- dozen new searches thanks to various scenarios, for goods and malicious indifferently.
- a dynamic scenario where your actions influence the outcome of your
adventure.
- new ways of interacting with the environment, including walls that one can destroy and which lead to unexplored tombs.
- contents set of themes including/understanding of the objects and the fates of vampiric inspiration.
- New Neriak objects for players of all levels.
- Chance and glory for the first group of raid to overcome to You Haen The Lost.
All these nouveautées will be available 21 the Mars 2005, and that promises!

In all honesty I think that blizzard, knowing that it took little time to level and go throuh their 1-60 content, should of had a fucking expansion DONE already, shelved for a time like this, where more and more of your fanbase is getting up to the end and not seeing anything in site.

People bitching? Forums going to the shitter with whines and flames?

.....BAM New WoW expansion due out next couple of weeks.

Adding a new continent of 50+ shit. Hero classes to calm the whines of the powergamers. More quests for gear and Hero points for the soloer. And level cap going up to 70.

Imagine that......

I'm wondering if Vivendi isn't bending Blizz over and giving them a good anal reaming for all their worth atm. Vast sums of money being siphoned off elsewhere, little expansion of the dev team. OTOH it takes time to hire new designers / developers. I would have thought with the immense population boom, there would be a few more jobs up on the Blizzard site. Nope.. seems Vivendi is just going to cash in and leave the situation "as is".

It would probably be in their best interest to not release hero classes as part of an expansion.

Wow, that list of job openings at Blizzard grows daily heh. Either people are getting fired or they don't like the way the company is handling things.

Hard to imagine they're understaffed in those positions. Oh sure let's bring in the "we didn't expect the game to be this successful" excuse again I guess.
