Proof that Blizzard is doing something to stop the sale of accounts?

I figured I'd look over on E-Bay and see if there were many people selling level 60 WoW characters, with many saying they're cancelling lately, and saw this:

AUCTION CANCLED. BLIZZARD DELETED MY ACCOUNT

DO NOT BID ON THIS ITEM. BLIZZARD HAS DELETED MY ACCOUNT. I DO NOT THINK IT IS RIGHT FOR THEM TO DO THIS, BUT APPARENTLY AN ACCOUNT CANNOT BE TRANSFERED ONCE IT HAS BEEN PLAYED. I DO NOT HAVE THIS ACCOUNT ANYMORE.

I WILL NO LONGER SUPPORT ANY OF BLIZZARDS GAMES. IVE BEEN PLAYING THEM SINCE WARCRAFT 1 CAME OUT. THEY SENT ME AN EMAIL LAST NIGHT SAYING MY ACCOUNT WAS DELETED, NO WARNING. THEY GAVE ME NO WAY TO CONTACT THEM IN RESPONSE. THIS IS BULLSHIT.

I have to wonder if this is real, or someone trying to scare others into not selling their accounts.

eBAY's VERO program automatically forwards your information (phone number, email address, address, etc.) to Blizzard when they remove an auction. Blizzard verifies the information with the info. in their database, then bans the account.

The information you have on the auction plays little to no role in if you're banned, since it's possible it was all faked by a third party.

Don't let your eBAY and WoW info. match and you should be fine.

Strange. Recently on Skullcrusher, a 60 priest sold his account on ebay. He used his character name for the e-mail address he used to register for ebay (hotmail).

People found this and posted it on the Skullcrusher realm board - he even went on there and admitted he was selling it. Nothing happened to the account, it was sold for $500+ dollars I believe. I just saw the buyer running around IF with the character last night.

I got a lvl60 priest farmer banned. Ofcourse i provided solid evidence to blizzard that the priest was indeed a farmer.

I think the guy only mentioned selling the account information in the bid.

Also I have seen people sell their account, then call SoE and give them the original key code and credit card number they opened the account with and just say someone stole their account.
