pristine hide drops in UBRS, the skinner ninjaed it twice without rolling, because hes a priest so pick up group cant do anything (i dnot go to pick up group raid with them, its just the situation)

your opinion on this?

what do you guys do on your server?

Warning Sign #1) A priest with skinning
Warning Sign #2) He ninjad the Pristine Hide
Warning Sign #3) He ninjad it again
Warning Sign #4) Pick Up Raid

The pristine hide is tradable, ninja loot it before he can, have someone else ninja skin, don't invite him, blacklist him.

We solve this on our server by not doing pick up raids.

Zarcath, priest gets away any sort of things on my server, including ninja brain hacker, pristine hide, etc, etc.

I dont go to pick up raid with them, but its been a major discussion on my server -_-, i just want some opinion on this.

Let's say before the raid, the priest tells you straight up, "Hey guys, I'll come on your raid, but in return for my l33t healing skills you have to default the pristine hide to me, or else I'm not coming." What would you say?

From your description, it sounds like you're so hard up for priests that you'd agree to this deal, as ridiculous as it sounds. If that's the case, then you don't have THAT big a complaint when he decides to ninja. Roll a priest, indeed.

i wouldnt go, i wasnt on raid, the priest did this before, but it was for himself before so everyone kind of passed because server is shortage on priest.

but this is his second hide, and he is selling in AH for 1000g...

Nobody EVER gave a shit when i mined in groups, except other miners. I'd say flat out I was going to AH the bars. Nobody cared. I'd talk about how I had all this extra money cause my mount was free and I'd stopped really skilling up engineering. Nobody honest to god cared.

The only difference in this case is that the hide is incredibly valuable. There's no argument against him skinning it on principle, the argument is that people want phat lewt and that's all. Anyone without the dagger and skinning skill has no business whining about what he did, unless they were consistantly asking for any rugged leathers and what have you elsewhere.

back then when i was making runecloth bags, I did ask my group for rugged leather and those skinner did share.

When you find a locked chest in an instance, does it automatically go to the rogue because only he has the skill to open it? You'd get nothing if not for the rogue, then again he'd get nothing without the group unless it's one of the few chests you can get to on your own. You could make an argument either way.

I don't really buy the argument that goes, unless you demand that the copper ore be split evenly then you have no right to make an issue out of the 1000g hide. Of course it's more of an issue when you're talking about a valuable item, there's nothing wrong with that. Note that your argument boils down to saying that the other players are greedy because they want to random the item amongst everybody, but the priest is not greedy even though he insists on keeping it for himself.

This sounds similar to how we do loot. Whoever gets the killshot on the boss mob gets to loot everything. Works great! One full-rage execute timed just right, and it's Magister Legs for me!

.. if it were me I would stone out and see if the whole raid wants to come with me. It's one thing if in advance the guy is an ass but saysI want XYZ or i ain't healing. It's another thing to be a neenja looting asshole.

What goes around comes around. Just make sure everyone knows what an ass this guy is. i am sure he will get his due in no time. Be sure everyone lets the general chat know when he is the zone that he likes to neenja loot. Post it on the server board and bump it once a day...
