Thumbs down Elite quests w/o 1 type of reward

Ok, i'm level 42 now, and i've noticed that tons of elite quests, if not the majority, give only one type of reward. Elite quests are ment for groups, but for some reason, some of these quests give out only...a cloth bracer. This is fine and dandy for me, a mage, except one little bit of information. I can't find groups when it comes to doing these quests. What warrior wants a cloth bracer? My guild will help me, but if they are busy or something, what am I to do?

Another problem with elite quests right now is that i'll do an entire string of solo-quests, that reward me like 40 silver each or something, maybe 6000xp total, only to find out the last quest in the series is an elite quest that i has a plate reward. This is a pretty big problem.

Something needs to be done about elite quests so that rewards go for classes, not just a few.

Totally agree. I can see SOME quests, non-elite, having things that only one class can use, but any elite quest should have at least one item for each type.

The two main reasons I like doing elite quests are the (usually) good xp reward and the fact that they are much more fun that cutting through paper mobs with 2hp and half. Rewards come way after that for me.
Anyway I've given up on getting good rewards from quests anyway, I've gone through something like 15 level without finding a single quests reward that'd be an upgrade for me (I'm only 31 though right now, I hope it gets better after that). So I might agree with you about that.
But what I say is don't do quests because of rewards but because you find them fun.

The stuff you can get from them will get replaced in a matter of days anyway, so why bother?

Some of the higher level elite quests have better rewards, like the general quest that lets you pick a melee crit, dodge, or spell crit trinket.

Or that Stratholme kill the baron quest that gives you that ownage ring.

Even the higher level ones leave out classes, with General quest spell crit is pretty useless for healers so most that I know went with Armour+Dodge (especially considering for druids/priests 180 is nearly two slots combined worth).

We also have quests like Order Must Be Restored (Raid) where Druids are the only class to get nothing 0.o

i guess what i should have put is while i do enjoy the xp reward of the quest, and the fun, alot of people don't, alot of MMOG newbies.

They have no incentive to do the quest. (they have fun doing the solo quests, because they are...mmog newbies)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but +chance to critical with spells effects heals too, so I don't see how the Eye of the Beast trinket is not useful for healers as well.

Sure you can crit heal spells. Critical heals are too unreliable to be useful.

My testing hasn't been totally conclusive yet, but it doesn't seem that + spell crit chance items affect heals. Granted I would have to test this over thousands of heals to really find out... so far im up to 400 heals w/ and 400 heals w/o eye of the beast, and the percentages are within .3% of each other. It doesn't seem to make much of a difference, certainly not 2%. Which is exactly like the priest holy talent that improves crit chance on holy damage spells, but not heals. Meh.

FooBar has half of it, it doesn't matter if it helps heals or not; crit heals are infrequent enough we need to assume they won't happen while timing heals.* The other half is that heals are already too big for most classes already

*When doing trivial content you can let the players get lower but with trivial content efficency usually isn't an issue.

You should be able to create your own rewards, the quest gives you a token worth so many points, you redeem the token to some armorcrafter or whatever and then you can use the points to make what you want, then it autobalances as you create the item.

Example - 10 points to spend

Leather - 1 point
Slot - Belt - 2 points
AC30 - 4 points
+6Agi - 3 points

or

Leather - 1 point
Slot - Belt - 2 points
AC10 - 1 point
+12agi - 6 points

No, it does not. Neither does the holy talent to increase your chance to crit on a spell. Both effect damage spells, but have no effect on healing spells.

Yes, it's a bunch of crap.

i already dislike the system of randomly generated loot, tokens would just push that further.

Randomly generated loot makes me feel like I don't have anything special on me. All my "of the eagle" stuff just feels like i'm a newb.
