Once the server matures and you have the option to PL, twink, etc. then /played obviously ceases to have meaning as well.
9 days to 60 as a shaman is impressive no matter how you look at it. Contrary to popular/ignorant belief, shamans do not solo very well, at least not compared to hunter, rogue, etc. It took me a little under 11, and that was duoing with a rogue the whole way (the rogue easily beat me to 60 while I was still 57, of course). I'm guessing that guy didn't slow down to max his tradeskills and probably never touched an instance he wasn't 15+ levels above either.

I'm not denying any of what you said. I have a 60 shaman myself, and while I can't remember my /played time to 60, I'm sure it was quite a bit more than 9 days (or 11). My point wasn't that it is unimpressive, just that I think /played time is a more meaningful indicator than RL time.

Fuck Communism.

My e-penis shrinks every time I see someone hit 60 that fast, though. I can barely struggle through a few bubbles before I convulse at the difficulty curve.

C'mon guys, you are missing the obvious here ...

It's european ... as in METRIC !

Sure he's level 60 on a Euro server, that equals lvl 41 on us servers.

Nothing worth writting home over.

Well, they didn't play Albion so I guess that rules out the auto-stupid flagging. *shrug* never heard of 'em. Maybe they were a dumbass zerg out in PvP. Or maybe they were snooty-types in PvP. Heh.

I kinda makes you wonder why they burnt through the game in 9 days KNOWING that all the Americans have been waiting (current count at 62 days, 8 hours and 14 minutes) for a content patch. I mean, I assume the Euros will have to wait awhile for the patch to trickle over to them...jerle already said that tho

Shaman power leveling himself without regard to most quests and getting 60 first.

SUCH A SHOCKING OUTCOME

I forgot tho, this is wow_horde_waaagh fest and only paladins deserved the beat down in power stick.

Blizzard promised that American and euro servers would get patches at the exact same time.

They also promised that 60 was when the game started though, so I'm not holding my breath.

Why would you race to 60 knowing full well the game is horribly broken with no fixes in sight?
The guy had a 60 character during US Beta, and apparently another during the Euro Beta.
It's not like there was a lot of content he had not seen yet.
And BECAUSE he now has a thread talking solely about him and his potential e-l337ness him on fohguild.org. Quite an achievement.

Aha, cool beans for him then. Generally I thought europe took extra time to get patches; just assumed since they didn't getWoW boxes at the same time their patches would come later too. Didn't pay that much attention to how Blizzard is handling that side o' the world tho

Wow, I've had the game for just about a month and I'm only level 24. I feel like such a gimp.

Instead of one korean we have two or three frenchies sharing an account probably roommates, or brothers.

Now if it was just one guy that died in an internet cafe from dehydration and malnutrition, that would be an achievement.

Once again the asians do everything better.

Pretty unimpressed really since xate hit lvl 60 in 5.5 days
played.

Not to mention that the first US 60 was played by 3 people in
8 hr shifts.
