Imagine having a group to kill the dragon and then a PVP group to protect the raid incase shit hits the fan. Hell, you could even have guilds that act as guardians. Pay a price for their protection during your raid. I think that would bring a littel bit of spark to a dull pvp system.

Sweet! Were back to 70+ man raid groups! 40 for the raid and another 30 to protect them!

I guess we need to get back to 150+ man guilds where your all such a tight knit family.

Not only that, you just cut your loot margin by 1/2.

I remember when people would ask if you'd play EQ if it was just your guild on the server; 90% or so said they wouldnt because they enjoyed racing other guilds and the community would suck. WoW is evidence enough that the community would suck.

And I'm using instances as an example of being the only one on server, since you basically ARE alone while in the instance. You didnt have to race anybody.

Racing was only fun when you won.

I'd like to see a form of inter-guild competition that doesn't involve a simple who-is-there-first.

Maybe a PvP fight or something before the encounter.

Racing also slowed down end game progression. Because only one guild would be doing it on a server. The others would bottom feed on whatever was left.

I have to disagree. Instances are crippling any kind of community in game. Theres no beef, no drama, nothing. Beef and drama add to the entertainment of the game greatly. The best drama weve had so far is a suspension. Pretty fuckin gay.

The drama in this game is fucking PvP. Its when you go to do you 54th run at UBRS and get stood up by the opposing faction.

Sorry for your luck you choose a PvE server, where you can all hold each others dicks wile /dancing.

Well if you dont see by now that this game does not cater to the 50+ hour a week peeps I think you need to slap yourself on the forehead. Sorry, this is not EQ 2.0. Its pretty fucking evident that Blizzard tried EVERYTHING not to become the agonizing life drain that EQ became.

If you want conflict in WoW you need to go to a PVP server.

Its as simple as that.

I was on a pvp server and the only conflict I saw was the same raid on southshore every night. woohoo that doesnt get old. Sorry if I dont make a thread and bitch about how I got ganked on the battle.net forums like the majority of the idiots.
