| GTA, or GTA3? I'd love a GTA3/VC/etc type ... not so much mmo in the standard sense, but incorporating their normal awesome world stuff into allowing many players in it. It could be real fun if done right, I think.

Wow... in terms of a game porting over to MMO I don' t think theres a better example than GTA. Seamless world, tons of content and it's most likely won't be your typical level your character to max and raid shit game =p I'd welcome a GTA MMO with open arms.

Who's up for playing a character that gets carjacked or beat down by someone else in game, were talking PVP at another level. Or better yet play the whore that gets in the car and starts /blowjob some other PC?? All that and pay only $15.99/month to do it.

How about holding up banks? Joining gangs? starting gangs? Running racketeering setups, raids on other gangs.. buying up buildings. Doingkidnappings, importing guns, importing drugs, selling drugs. Buying up the towns businesses... etc etc =p Then you could add a whole nother side to GTA by letting people be cops. Do drug busts, raid gang areas... clean up an area and keep it clean from thugs. Get promoted, join the FBI, go after bigger game. After you got that in place you could add factors like cops being able to be corrupted, and thugs being informants etc. This game has so many possibilities it's disgusting.

Unless there are LoS issue with the guards or if the Crip get's stuck in the wall it bugs out. Or when you are raiding South Central instance your "gang" gets locked out for weeks... Maybe when the Chief of Police or Mayor gets killed by an exploit, Rockstar will let you keep the loot!

I'm sorry, anyone who doesn't get excited at the thought of multiplayer GTA... I don't mourn you, you're already dead inside. San Andreas gives a small hint of the kinda crazy fun that GTA could be with more than one person. Even though the two characters couldn't leave the same screen, or couldn't do missions... man it was just crazy fun. Personally though, I think they aught to just drop the whole MMO thing... GTA's strength is its ability to just pick up (its non-perminance), and go on a crazy super violent killing spree, and just generally act stupid. MMO's are slower, more deliberate. Tradeskills, Leveling Up, Death Penalties, Item Rartiy, none of that belongs in a GTA game. They should just stick to making a multiplayer game, nothing massive about it.

I think the game will be amazing, if they just make it a casual-yet-fucking-addictive-and-amazing game. I hope it will be a MMO of minigames, with shit just going on all over. I don't want there to be "15 O.G. lfg to rob the liquor store". I hope you can buy/attain a car within the first 20 min of gameplay (excluding any tutorial-type thing). I hope within the first hour, you and your friends are performing drive-by's. I hope...I hope that this game is awesome. But do I think it will be what we dream of? No.
