| No wonder they can't seem to communicate with the player base. They are too busy bitching about which is better; Taurens or Murlocs. p.s. murlocs need to die.

1) This isn't an isolated "silly post". They respond to stupid posts about plush murlocs and all sorts of other idiotic drivel on a regular basis while not giving "real" topics any attention at all, thus contributing to the cesspool that is the WoW official forums; 2) 80% of what they post, even discounting these "silly" posts, is a variation of either a) "I'm sorry", b) "We're looking into it", c) "Please be patient", or d) "Working as intended." Very, very rare is the post that has any actual information in it. Most of those are posted directly by devs. I don't blame the CMs themselves; this is probably just all that they're actually empowered to do.

| The primary function of the CMs is to review and compile player feedback and complaints for the devs. You may not like what you ultimately get from the devs, but I see no reason to attribute that to the CMs. As for the threads that the CMs respond to, I agree that they could do a little more "we have relayed this issue to the devs," but few people are ever happy with that anyway. They want to know what the devs are doing about it, when it will be addressed, what the status is, and why it wasn't fixed in beta. The fact is, there are 1000 issues out there, and everyone thinks their pet issue is the most important. They want constant updates on that issue... it doesn't even matter if you're reasonable and only ask for an update once per week, because someone else is guaranteed to ask for an update on each of the other six days. For the CMs to provide this level of feedback, the devs would have to spend 90% of their day talking with the CMs about the status of each of those 1000 issues. Which would mean, I guess, that there wouldn't be much actual coding for the devs to report. |

That's been true from UO onwards - hell, it was probably true from the pay-to-play MUD era onwards.

greatest wow thread ever? ok, we all know that board is a cesspool of morons, but come on, what a retarded thread. maybe they should give them a book to learn to program so they can join in on blizzards obviously vast efforts to fix their buggy ass game instead of what the hell ever they were doing on that thread.
