I'm not saying WoW's models are perfect. I think Blizzard could've done a lot better with troll females -- they freakin look like chickens to me. Their artists have a thing for large thighs. Human females look a tad on the chunky side. Night elves are pretty sexy though.

The animations in WoW are great, however. Don't find anything offensive at all.

Seriously, I hated Luclin models too but I don't see these horrible issues with EQ2 models that you're all talking about. Are they great? No. Are they completely serviceable? Sure.

I think some people just have such a hate-on for SOE that they'll abandon all reason to bash on their products. And yes, to a certain extent that hate-on is justified, but c'mon people. Take a deep breath.

Taken on its own merits, so far anyway, EQ2 doesn't seem to be a bad game in my experience.

Man, i am telling you that I'd most definately play the game if I could get past the graphics. But I can't...they are SO bad (in my opinion!) I just can't play the game. It's a shame too, because I'd like to give it a try.

I don't like Sony, but that's not really my point of bias.

You know, come to think of it I rarely see females in WoW. In all the mmorpgs I have played of course the male models outnumber the females, but you always saw them. In WoW the female models are so gay looking that hardly anyone creates them.

No, you made it pretty clear you were saying they were "better" by saying you found it attractive but didn't the equivelents in all other games except AO.

As for the discussion that followed this quoted post, Duppin expressed a valid counterpoint. It's too bad he felt the need to introduce it with more "fanboi" bleating along with Mkopec.

Personally, I feel the same about EQ2's crappy aesthetics as I do about Blizzards lack of communication / patching. In the case of the former, it's keeping me from playing the game and in the case of the latter it's the biggest thing about to drive me away. But I guess we can't point out these flaws without automatically being a fanboy for the other camp though huh?

That said, perhaps my original response to Mkopec's post was a bit harsh. But then, he's been religiously bashing WoW and defending EQ2 for months even though he's clearly playing the former and not the latter so I can't help but think he's just an angsty little trolling bitch.

I was simply stating that a lot of times, what fanboys will do is defend the game that they're a fan of by stating that a certain issue is irrelevant, and then turn around and attack another, usually competing game, on the exact same issue.

I personally like EQ2's art style a lot better than WoW's, but agree that the models could be done better. And whoever created the horrible graphic for the newbie mage quest robe that you get on the newbie isle needs to die in a fire.

Althogh Ao was not a perfect game by no means, it was fresh, it introduced a plethora of fresh ideas into the mmorpg genre. I played Ao for about a year when I got disgusted with EQ. AO was a great game ifg you git past their launch issues. By far, it was the most innovative since EQ . No other game since has furthered the mmorpg genre as AO did.

Yes I have been defending EQ2 up to a point, because this board is riddled with idiots who see the SoE on the box and hate the game before even playing it, even though they were sucking SoE's cock for years.

And this is what I totally find idiotic. SoE didnt screw anybody over, they didnt eat your kids. they tried to provide you with a cheap form of entertainment while making some cash.

On the WoW front, you guys kept spewing out how this is the end all moorpg. Blizzard can do no wrong... And yet we find that WoW is a bit short sighted and Blizzard is treating their customers worse than SoE EVER did. How fucking ironic.

well funny enough I couldnt stand WoW animations - looked like everyone was running around with horribly painfull testicals and rickets to me.

EQ2's arnt that great either but ya know - go to the park sometime and watch foilks jogging. Most of them run like girlymen(eq2) or lardasses with testicular cancer(WoW).
