In a service to FOHGuild.org, I have fixed "Hat-o-Rade's" rant.

Sadly, I bought EQ2. The quests are gay as hell. They all consist of, "Go here, kill this and get me that." I made it to level 30, it's just a long level grind. The UI is very frustrating because you get a new skill every level! Hell, sometimes half a level! I had three bars of skills.

You CANNOT solo expecting to make decent exp. In addition to all this, the models are ugly and the animations look all rubbery.

If you go evil then you will be in Commons for levels 10-20. I was so sick of Commons! Then I got sick of the next zone to level in; Neriak Forest or something like that. Way too much traveling if you were to do quests. By the time you travel from your quest-completion quest (editor: ??? is this what you meant?) back to the quest NPC, you would have been better off just xp grinding. I have more but don't care enough to type anymore.
And thank god for that. I fixed your atrocious writing.

Yes that is what I meant I failed highschool and nobody learned me properly.

Thanks for fixing it nice work. Now if only someone would do that for me all the time I could continue to be lazy as fuck.

when you fill in the form for the trial is it suposed to get back to the same form once u subscribed or is the website just buggy (or does it just do that if you have a free acount instead of a paying one because they couldn't be bothered to make a page to tell you to upgrade?)

& if that's normal usually how long does it take to get the key mailed?

I'm downloading this as we speak, although I doubt that my PC is up to spec to play the full game (not enough memory and I have a shitty motherboard that only has two memory stick slots).

Unless the trial is specially tweaked to give better performance, its a pretty accurate comparison to the real game in the retail version - barring the performance loss that some lighting options can do in dungeons.

EQ2 is very RAM intensive. If you dont have at least a gig in your machine, EQ2 will drag you down to the bowels of frustration.

How much tweaking did he have to do with the settings? That's honestly the first time I've heard of a 512 MB player being happy with it - either that or they made some memory tweaks to the game since I've been playing.

No tweaking yet, but he hasn't really done anything intense. He's still got free-ram available, it's using about 300 in the Isle I think, once I came to FP it went up to 400, he'll probably complain then.

Demo ran fine with 512 and I thankfully have a whole extra driive that's empty so I can put a bigass swapfile on that.

Overall, the game looks to be much more my speed than WoW. I never really liked the art style of WoW that much and it bothered me more than I realized until I logged into EQ2.

I'm gonna pick it up today, and I can always grab more RAM down the road a little bit. It'll be a while before I'm raiding or anything anyway, obviously.

I dont know man, my little bro had a pretty beffy system. P4 2.5 ghz 6800 GT OC and 512 Rambuss memory. And no matter what he did settings wise, the game became a crawl in the citys.

So we scrapped his system, got a AMD 64 3800, 2 gigs of meory, his 6800 GT, a new mo bo, and a raid 0 and his shit flies now in EQ2 or any game for that matter.

I attributed his bad performance to his ram.

Maybe SoE improved their performance since EQ2 released. /shrug
