| Battlegounds: Disappointed you chose a PVP server? Are you upset that you chose to play on a PVP server now that what's coming with BG has been fleshed out a bit more? I've heard numerous people on my (PVP) server say that they only played PVP due to the expectation that BG would be little more than an arena. ??? |

+2 Internets | No, I can kill people virtually anywhere, which is why I chose a PvP server. Battlegrounds doesn't negate this at all. That and Battlegrounds might be more largescale fights, which are fun and awesome in their own right....but I also like coming up to Blackrock mountain in a group of 5, seeing a group of 5 Alliance, and going at it in a 5 on 5. That won't happen s'much in Battlegrounds. |

+14 Internets | Battlegrounds sounds fun, but what about when it's not feasible to get a battlegrounds event going? I can go PVP with my rogue buddy and we can tear shit up. I personally like standing outside a city like Grom'Gol and waiting for them to oppose me! PVE servers are Warcraft Lite. |

| Yeah, the PvP servers add that extra uncertainty and excitement which the PvE servers lack. As Biz before me said, you will never have the 1vs1, 2vs1 3vs3 or any of the other combinations of small scale conflicts as you do on a PvP server. Ill tell you the truth, I was never for PvP, but in this game it just seems like the whole core of the game all relates to PvP conflicts. On a PvE server you just enter a contested zone, go seek out your quest targets and all in a predictable fashion preceed to complete the quest with absolutely no regard for what the other side is doing, where they are at and what they are planning. The PvP servers add another dmension ontop of the easy and predictable PvE action.

| I don't regret it at all at this point. Having random conflicts running around keeps it a bit more fun for me. And as someone above said, running into another group of alliance on the way to BRS or BRD etc and duking it out is always a blast. |

| Heh, was on the way with a full guild raid to BRD (lotta lowbies) and we approached another guild, sorta sized each other up but then we saw some elite off in the distance.... god, it was a mess. I just recall mind controlling people squatting at the mob and running them away repeatedly. |

+2 Internets | You know, I was thinking (thread derailment inc).... One of the reasons some warriors might see their lives as so crappy compared to other warriors who just see it as hard might be due to PvE vs PvP servers. Before someone goes into /outrage mode, I don't mean player skill levels at all. I was referring to the fact that Warriors on PvE servers can't easily get the jump on people and typically won't be able to use their charge to gain rage on people (or catch them by surprise, period). This leads to the warrior being at an automatic disadvantage. I, on the other hand, don't have that problem, and can catch people by surprise and/or get the initial charge off instead of waiting for their flag to drop. I can cause people to panic simply by coming out of nowhere, whereas say Fulorian (to use a FoH Warrior on a PvE server) has the annoyance of having to wait. I don't envy that position at all .But, anyways, bring on Battlegrounds! |
