They are a little off balanced compared to any other mob (that I know of) within there own level range and completely off balanced vs. lower level attackers. At level 55 I would destroy 5 or 6 of these in a row working from full mana down to 00m then melee one or two (keep in mind, I’m a mage) while I waited till about 1/3 mana and then start with a mix of spells / melee until I needed a break. If anything the only real problem with these golems is you can clear all 25 of them before you get re-spawns and end up having to sit and wait a moment or two. The point was however not their EXP rate but the fact that they have a very high (again probably not intended) green drop rate as well as a number of ‘vendor trash’ drops that add up to close to (if I’m remembering right) about 70 silver to 1 gold per stack (varies by the item, they drop a few different stackable items). I grinded them for exp at the time and have since moved on to different means of grinding cash, but to be honest I still personally believe if money is the goal nothing is going to beat out buying and re-selling on the AH for pure cash generation.

Someone is going to be killing them, constantly, farmer or otherwise so the amount of gold entering the economy isn't vastly different. It would take a hell of a lot more farmers and buyers to make any signifigant impact on a server hosting 4000 players. Any problems with the economy has far more to do with the overall design issues (Devaluation of cash in the end game and rarity of useful items) which are continously posed by these games (much less so by WoW).

| Your going to start seeing a lot of the chinese/korean farmers going bye bye. Most of them arent actually bots. They do respond to you after some time. They speak horrible english. Try typing words like BAN, and BOT, or Report to them. Sit back and laugh as all of a sudden your little friend who could barely type english is now speaking to you like a Harvard grad. These are the supervisors for their operation. I could go on and on about what these guys do and how obvious it is that they are selling the gold they farm. THe point here is that to stop these people. You cant buy from them, as long as they have a market they will have a job. I read a very interesting post about how a group of people got together on Zul'jin and started farming and killing all the farmers. This really pisses them off, becuase they cant meet their quota when you kill them and kill all their mobs.

+2 Internets | Apparently, at least on my server, they appear to have been reading posts like this and have scattered to the four winds. A couple of them have even used those opportunities where people are randomly asking for people to join their guild to cloak themselves as the same old group farmers are now in several different guilds. They're still named Loly or Grah or variations thereof and they're still on 24 hours and farming places like Burning Steppes/SV/Blasted Lands but they're tending to avoid Aszhara after all the focus on their spot there. But they are never all in the same zone/spot anymore like they were just a few days ago. |

| What diffrence does it make to you if they farm 6 billion gold or not? You whining little bishes need to do a reality check. You are messing with someone's LIFE. This is not a fucking game to them. You keep killing all their mobs and rob them of their production then their children go hungry you stupid fucks. All this talk about well they shouldn't be doing it in the first place is utter bullshit. All you are doing is rationalizing being a cock knocker. They are not hurting you so STFU and leave them alone. And no I don't buy gold on WoW but if I did it's none of your damn business either. |

| Sadly Hyjal has our farmers too.... Whatever they're killing in Azshara gives a ton of blue/purple drops too... Always stuff being sold by "Aidhna" (notice the Adena knockoff) in the AH too... Oh well, someone has a job playing WoW and making money doing boring ass grinding all day. Huzzah for them! Much more exciting than my job I suppose.... I know of many non bot 60's who farm for gold/drops all day and they're in no way shape of form bots... **shrug** It's definately not for me...

+18 Internets | Camerous your arguement can be applied to everything from people working cocaine fields to spyware programmers. "I dont buy crack-cocaine, but I think it's bad that we blow up and burn cocaine fields! All those people who make money from harvesting the drugs for their drug overlords are being punished!"

| A quick point that hasn't been brought up. Ok, so we know who the people are and what they are doing. And they play 24/7 and do hour shifts or whatever it is. As long as it's not a bot, what can blizzard do? I mean honestly, yes this pisses off just as much as the next guy, but... what can be done? They aren't really violateing anything. Only thing that could be done is they be banned for selling gold/items for real life cash, so how will this be done? I think a good design mechanic would be to make blue or rarer drops ONLY drop in instance and... anything worth any value should only be dropped in instances. For one this would help bring wow to a more community based game, and two require these people to work in groups/a team of 5. |

| I wouldnt doubt these arent bots but Asians under some work or something, cause it has almost become a truth now that they are just good at games. 9/10 people on Warcraft 3 in the "Elite" or "Gosu" section of it are Asian, I shit you not. They also love Lineage 2 which someone mentioned in an earlier thread as taking 8 hours to grind a bit out of level 58/100. Well anyway I like the idea of Ban/report/Bot, If I see one ill try it out. |

when you sign into WoW for the first time or after a patch, theres this little legal document you electronically sign called the EULA. On the EULA there is a section which reads, "Corporations and other entities than Private Individuals are not eligible to purchase accounts." and it's been said before, all that blizzard has to do is grow a pair and start going undercover to buy gold online, then banning the accounts involved when the ingame meeting to receieve the items/gold takes place.
