Raids

Hey All,

I'm just wondering if anyone has taken down any large targets in WOW as of yet (aka full raid targets). I'm nowhere near anything of that sort, but do look forward to the eye candy that comes out of them. I've read about the higher lvl instance's though.

On the Coming Soon page they list

# New High End Content:

* Azuregos (Raid encounter in Azshara)
* Lord Kazzak (Raid Doomguard in Tainted Scar)
* Dire Maul (Level 47-56 Dungeon in Feralas)
* Blackwing Lair (New Raid Dungeon)

Right now the only noteworthy raid target is Onyxia and no one has killed her, ever. When those stuff go live I'm sure we'll have more to look at in terms of raid progression.

If they cockblock people with blackwing lair as well, it'll be a long time before anybody does anything

If I remember right, Molten Core was classified as "tier 3" raid, which I take to mean you all either need:

- Full uncommon/better tier 1 (Onyxia) stuff
or
- Something like half of tier 2 and half of tier 1 stuff

(except there's no tier 2 raid yet, right?)

I think those two raids are probably a second tier-1 and a tier-2 raid.

Blackwing Lair sounds like the raid instance in Upper Blackrock Spire, to me... Sounds like a likely locale for finding Nefarion, no? Something tells me it'll require having killed Onyxia to go there...

Molten Core is doable. Learn some pulls, learn mobs abilities and you should be able to do decent.

By doable I mean you can start exploring in it now.

Well, I've raided BRD with a lot of people who are lower level that make it a loooong sloooow clear. Most all the fights are close and we can't get through the dwarf insta-pop hall, so it's a good challenge and a lot of luck.

Obviously as our levels get higher, this will become less and less of a raid and more tedium.

FoH took some FA and others down into Molten Core last night. I'd like to hear how that went.

How does one enter Molten Core?

Forgive me if it's obvious when you find it, I've only done Bael'Gar, Shadowforge and the arena in BRD, and cleared to Voone in BRS.

You can get to Molten Core through BRD just after you get done with the seven dwarves.

Was no FA on the raid that I saw, was 3ish people from outside the guild... We got to the first boss of sorts in the zone.
