| PvP Servers > PvE Servers If this has been posted before, sorry I missed it but I wanna get players feelings on this. I for one think PvP servers in WoW are a hell of alot more fun than PvE servers. It's how in my view WoW is supposed to be played. This is not EQ where PvE meant more than PvPing. Alot of people have said to me yeah the PvP must be fun but they like questing or xping and not having there time taken away from them running around as a ghost. Well that might be true to an extent because of the simple fact that this game is incredibly easy to lvl to 60 and there is no XP penalty for deaths. So basically you are not getting that much time taken away from you. Will you get ganked in neutral zones? Yes this one day I was in western plaguelands in ruins of andoral and these 2 undead rog were ganking me left and right but I didn't care cause that is part of it but now at lvl 60 what is there to do besides do the high lvl quest/instances? Well i'm sure some of you PvE people will come out and say...battlegrounds. Yes there will be battlegrounds but that will also be available to PvP people and we will also have the honor system which will be awesome, I can hear the PvE people crying now that they don't have some sort of honor system. There's alot more that makes PvP servers better for WoW in my opinion but I wanna see what others think. Well anyway, thoughts comments appreciated, I'm sure I'm gonna get alot of PvE people clam but I don't care because PvP Servers > PvE Servers. 60 Hunter Shattered Hand Many other alts... |

| I love PvP servers. They're like little leper colonies that keep the undesirables away from the rest of us. While it's not perfect, and some fuckwits do slip through the cracks and end up on PvE servers, thankfully most of those people choose Alliance. |

| It's just about personal preference. For me, if I have an hour or two to get something done (like grind out the last 10k xp in a level or just turn in a quest left over from the night before) then I want to be able to just go do that without it turning into some kind of bullshit conflict at any given moment. Also, I prefer PvP where the people I'm fighting are up for it too. I'd rather enter a field where I know there's people actively looking for me (and I for them) than to just run across some poor schmuck trying to clear his way to a quest mob. And I prefer PvP'ing as a social activity. I've always enjoyed team play more than free for all deathmatch action. So that's why Battlefields will fill any desire I have for PvP. I'll be able to go there and fight alongside and against other people that are there for the exact same purpose and when I'm tired of the drama or excitement or whatever I can just leave it and go do something else for awhile without having to actually shut down the game. |

| There is no definitive answer, since it's based on personal preference. For example: every other thread > this thread While clearly true, the above is, in the end, tough to prove, since it is based on opinion. And even if every person in the world except 1 belived it (which they do), it would still be only opinion.

Despite what some people claim, PvE servers are not "PvP servers without the ganking." While there is still PvP action, it definately doesn't have the feel or dynamic of the true PvP servers.

| I have lots of friends on PVP servers, and I'd say about 1/2 of them don't like it. Most of their fights are ganks. They are in the middle or just done fighting an npc, or get jumped by so many that it's not even competative. If I want action, I can kill some Horde guards and see if anyone turns their flag on. the thought of being attacked just as I reach my quest npc deep in a cave sucks. I like solo'ing. Though I'm more forced due to the number of people that don't know how to group and try to do quests way above their level. which brings me to a derailing question, there should be a way to limit someone doing a qeust if they arent high enough. npc's should give queests to mobs that are 7+ levels to you. I joined a group for a mob that was 5+ to me. I asked if i was high enough for the quest, not knowing the end guy. Find out that only 1 guy in group is higher level then me. We wipe a few times, then a 2 nd group (equally leveled) fights there as well, and we do it twice. letting each team get the primary kill. thus my new rule, no pickup groups (only a handful of friends are my level and we dont always play at the same time) unless group leader puts a levle limit in his LFG requets

Why the hell is it that pvp people always post this stupid shit. Are you trying to justify your crappy playing experience by shoving it down everyone else's throat? Or, are you just trying to show off how 'omgz hardcore' you are. Don't you fags get it, WE DONT CARE WHAT YOU THINK.

| IMO, aside the instances, and some rare content, this game is too easy on a PvE server. Face it, this game is meant to be PvP. Its not like they designed the game with PvP being a afterthought. PvP is one of the core design elements of this game. I played 30+ levels on a PvE server because I had the exact thought as you PvE'rs. But it just didnt feel right, something was missing and PvP was the missing element. I rerolled on a PvP server and Im having tons of fun now. PvP adds that edge, the challenge, that the PvE servers are missing. |
