| Server populations for WoW Starting WoW in next week or 2 and was wondering about the populations of some of these servers. http://www.wowcensus.com/no_realm.php?sort=count Quite a wide range, 500 to 10,000+ heh. At what number do you all think a server becomes too crowded? Playing on Veeshan for 5 years I have seen it at its best and its worst... going to avoid the high pops and try for a server where if you play a lot most people know you. But don't want a dead one either. Obviously all servers will increase in time. Just curious to see what you think the game can hold reasonably from those who have played for awhile now, and what the minimum population you would want is. Thanks in advance ![]() |

| We mentioned this in guildchat, and someone said that it kinda makes sense in some ways. Most likely pro-Alliance players will always stay Alliance, while Horde players will usually have an Alliance alt. Not that it justifies the larger number because there's always a lot of Alliance, but it makes sense in its own way.

| Someone brought this up at graffes, and I started thinking how true it was. More people would play horde if they weren't so ugly. Seriously, the troll and especially orc models don't even look finished. None of the horde races have any charisma at all compared to the alliance races, all of which have well done, attractive models for both genders. Personally I tried to play horde but I couldn't get into playing a character that looks like a fucking cow, a rotting skeleton or one of two varities of shitty look deformed humanoids. Another factor was the newbie areas for Alliance are much better done, compare the visual appeal of the dwarf/gnome or NE starting areas (+ darkshore) to any of the horde starting areas... only the undead area even comes close in visual appeal. Solution to WOW population problems: remodel orcs and trolls to have SOME degree of visual appeal. Trolls could realistically have a similiar appeal as night elves, at least the males. Long hair, tall, upright, etc. Instead of looking like rodents. |
