Well , just a disclaimer that i'm not saying they are out of line for doing this. However, that being said let me give you some backround.

Some guy in general chat says random group invites are fucking gay, and that its an instant ignore for anyone that does it. So, I /invite him randomly to group. At which point he tells me to go fuck my mother. So, I come right back at him and he really puts me on ignore.

So, I then write in general chat what you're about to see, and get this email today. Thing is, he had me on ignore, so he didnt report me. Also, the chat is timed.. so I wonder if there is some kind of filter in effect in WoW that red lights to GMs? Or if they monitor chat?

All I know is that i consistently did shit 25x worse in EQ for 5 years and was only warned like twice, and never suspended. Just very interesting is all. Anyway, without further delay

yeah i think the player community is very strict as well. i'm playing on tichondrius (or however it's spelled) which is a pvp server, and i don't chat all that much while i'm killing/questing. but i'm constantly seeing in /1 someone will say "omfg you are gay" and ten people jump on him with "OMGZ reported!" which then prompts another person to say "ok yeah that's gay you guys" and it's all a vicious cycle really.

Then, in all seriousness I guess I have the wrong impression of people both in game, and on this board. Suspending people for griefing is one thing, ie: training,exploits, and the like. Yet, it's just an interesting comparison to the hands off attitude that EQ Gm's had. Now, if something like this is for the better , thats your opinion, and thats what I came here to get. I'm unsure so far, I would like to see how things end up playing out. However, I was nervous ever since they unleashed that nazi naming policy.
