| WoW - Duoing Hey Guys, Alright I wanted to get some feedback from those of you who have had the chance to play and test WoW longer then I have. I play with family so I am always going to be at least duoing. What I wanted to know is what are some of the best Duoing teams that you have seen / tested? We also plan to be going horde. I have a few ideas, tell me what your take on them is. First is Warlock / Warlock combo. I have been told that DoTs stack, and if we use different curses we can mess a mob up pretty good. The idea would be that after level 20 one of us has a VW while the other uses Succubus. Is this a fast / viable way to level/quest? (This one is what Id prefer the most, but dont know how realistic is it) Second is Shaman / Warrior combo. We are currently trying this one in OB and so far (L15) it is working alright. Would these 2 continue to work well up into the 40-60 range? Third is Mage / Warlock combo. I dont know if this one would work at all but we tend to like caster classes heh. Anyway if you have tried any type of combo with success Id love to hear about it. The idea is while we arnt raiding we are going to be duoing so we are looking for what works. Thanks for any input you guys might have ![]() |

| priest / mage best mix. mage owns for downtime(summoned food/water so money saving). priest owns for buffs/healing/nukes. can pretty much ping pong anything u want and still be fine. id also add in priest/shaman to that mix, but shaman dont kill fast enuf; although they are like an m1abrams... can take a licking and still do some dmg. basically a casting warrior.

| I've had the most success with Preist/Rogue Plus it's easy for us to drop in to groups for large quests, priests always needed and rogues good for damage. The rogue can hold aggro on most mobs really easily with eviscerate and other combo's and they do good damage early on with duel wield. The priest can compliment with damage and usually fade out of combat and let the rogue take the beats. Of course i'm just a priest but of duo'ing with a warrior, warlock, mage, rogue, or druid, i find duo'ing with a rogue the best at the early levels. |

| The problem with warlock/warlock is that it works fine in a duo situation, but the odds of getting an instance group that will take two warlocks later on is somewhere between slim and nil. I'd go with priest, or maybe even shaman or druid since having a permanent duo with someone who uses the exact same gear is kinda annoying (and everything but cloth goes to waste/AH). Shaman/warrior is fine too, all the way to 60 in terms of doing normal quests, plus some elites. And it's a good foundation for instances as well. |

| Druid/Mage isn't a terrible combo either (root n sheep if you get too many). Priests can go with just about any pairing too as they have reasonable DPS for when you don't need them healing. Shaman/Hunter is a great pairing too if your healer doesn't mind the pet selecting (some healers like to gripe about such things anyway but it's not all that hard to hit shift-fkey to select someones pet). |

| The Priest/Rogue combo sounds interesting. However, I have heard priest tend to be a bit boring. How would say a Shaman /Rogue team work? Also back on the Warlock/Warlock thing has anyone tried this who has any feedback? If it works real well this might be the path we take. I know 2 warlocks prob wont get instances together but we could always make guild groups so not to worried about that. Thing is we run a business from home so we have to get up alot anyway, so grouping isnt always smart. |

+5 Internets | Priest/Mage is pretty goddamn sick...once they get arcane explosion to instant or whatever...priest aggro's 5 or 6, mage aggro's 5 or 6, meet in middle and boom, got yourself 2k exp, drink 45seconds and repeat... |

+1 Internets | Going to go with Priest / Shaman - yea, you've got two healers, and you don't kill THAT fast. But you're solid as a goddamn rock. And actually, it's not that slow. Non-elites? Shaman breaks out the 2h and priest dots.. you sail through. Easy elites, same.. shaman might go shield/mace. Hard elites.. priest heals. Anything past that, you've got a damn fine core of a group. Pick up a war .. or not, shaman can tank fine early on.

| warlock/warlock is an iffy. id probly put it midway down in strength catagory. they dont do enough raw dps to make killing fast, but have enough utility to be useful. priest is a lot more fun then the classical EQ cleric. ive played mage, warlock, priest; prefer priest. less utility, but more need and strength overall imo. can play either strong defense or strong offense easily.

| Priest/Mage is pretty sick.. Actually IMO any duo can honestly work its just going to be not as efficient.. If you can, try doing a trio - even better (since group exp applies too!) My current trio of me a Rogue, Warlock, and Priest is awesome - we can take on almost anything elite our level or even higher without many problems at all |

| Well one thing is a certain now and that is at least one of us will be a warlock. Since alot of you are gunning for the Priest what do you think of the Priest/Warlock combo? Seems priests can do more damage then I gave them credit for. |

+14 Internets | One thing you need to consider is that 80% of what you do until end-game is soloable, the other %20 you sometimes need a full group(elite stuff). You can pick any two classes for the 80% and be okay, but you should try to get two solid grouping classes (priest + rogue/warrior/mage/shaman whatever) That being said, priest/mage is a great choice. Shamans are good now too, right now they're great tanks(better than a warrior sometimes) but that'll change eventually/soon. |

| I did priest/rogue to 30 and it was far more effective for the priest to go straight shadow without the -threat talents and keep aggro with mind blast. Our kill rate was insane. |
