Playing Open Beta with the former Closed beta client

is this possible?

I remember seeing a post about it somewhere at some point but I can't find it for the life of me now. Downloading the new client is a huge pain in the ass for me because my ISP only allows 2 gigs a week for me.

Sorry for starting a whole new thread if I'm missing something here.

Pretty sure since the 19 meg patch that trick doesn't work. Because you can't patch the CB client to OB 1.1.

How the hell do you get the 19meg patch to work? it downloaded but it never seems to install itself, and when the game says to resart WoW it seems to make no changes.

That's a touch of bollocks right there. I've got two clients on two computers in two different countries, and the new exe worked both times, as did the 19mb patch install. SILLY MAN.
