I would personally want the benefits/disadvantages to be as powerful as the current undead immunities/subjectivities are, but I understand why they can't be like this. Right now on PVP servers paladins are only good classes because well, there are so many undead running about(and paladins have 3 lives).

I think Blizzard is skipping putting a lot of content into beta because doing the quality process to put it to field test would take time they don't have, they're probably crunching to make release.

If you're talking about the traits here, they've said that they're all done and will be in the next patch (which is a few days away at most).

I don't think the racial traits are going to make much of a difference, except for PvP in the case of UD, as they've pretty much said they won't. If they do, we as a community get to bitch about it. As such I've told my peeps to pick a race that they find aesthetically pleasing to play their class, as enjoying your character will probably be a much bigger deal than whatever racial traits we end up with.

Beta is almost over and I finally was able to make a male Tauren character I liked. Go figure!

Oh yeah, us undead are fear immune! So overpowered! Oh wait, you pussy alliance whined enough to get Pisonic Scream and Intimidating Shout to work on us now.

Nevermind the fact that paladin fear is by far the worst fear of them all, with a 20 second duration that, half the time, runs you INTO the alliance instead of away from them, and stops you periodicaly and changes your direction to make it easy for people to catch you while you cannot fight back. Not that it is needed for the paladin to rape you, since hes got an insta-cast 30 range fireball to kill you with. Combine the fear with a 6 second stun for a total of 26 seconds of losing control of your character while people can attack you for some real fun.

I look forward to enjoying my Troll mage's spirit in combat regen instead of playing run away from the paladin at retail.

It's rather amusing how you assume that the humans are the "good guys" and the horde are the "evil" ones. How many fucking times do we gotta spell it out to everyone, ALLIANCE AREN'T THE GOOD GUYS. It's not that simple, alliance is lawful neutral-evil, horde was chaotic neutral due to demon influence, and some are still that way, but there are quests where the horde kill those that are left. The horde now is somewhere around chaotic-good ( they do not obey Thrall's laws but they are seeking for the overall good of their race, community, and the land) and true neutral.

I could go into it tons more but I'll resever that, anyways the tauren are the only race that could be truely classified as "lawful good". Second, the alliance broke the treaty because of one of their evil kings. Three, one man's voice doesn't speak for the whole. And with I'd say about 90% of the players playing alliance think they are the good guys because they are human, that mind set in itself makes the majority of them idiots. And last, if you even read the forums you would see that 90% of the whines are from the alliance members, but that could have something to do with how there is a larger population base on the alliance side.

the only reason people are bitching so hard on both sides of the undead racial abilities front is because they are really the only ones currently with any kind of pvp oriented abilities/detriments

blizzard does shit right and they know it and they have probably balanced everything out nicely in their closed testing they just dont want to fill their boards with gripe after gripe from EVERY race in the game

they are gonna open up the biggest can of bitch ass when they implement all of the racial talents if they choose to go combat oriented with all races and they know this so they are probably gonna drop the bomb fairly late in the game and then sit back arms folded and watch yall cry because you shat your diaper
