The World of Warcraft intro was so impressive, it has to take the #1 spot at the moment. The Starcraft intro was also sooo damn impressive.

I hate the way that people think the only way a game's intro is "the best" is if it graphically shits on things. At least, that's my opinion, I'm destined for a flaming here.

I love Katamari Damacy's intro, but the beginning of MGS2 does it for me every time. Yeah, no doubt one of you will say I'm a faggot for liking japanese things. Just because it's a spectacle doesn't make it good.

The entire sequence up until Sin attacks that city in FFX. Christ, if the whole game was set in a place like that it would be #1 on my list of FF's.

There's a lot of good opening cinematic clips out there, but the Blizzard intros are the ones I always remember.

I always thought the installation to Command and Conquer was one of the best game intros/installations ever. Definitely way ahead of its time. Red Alert's intro was pretty cool too, with Hell March playing in the background and the whatnot.

The intro makes me want to play the game... it doesn't really convery a plot =p but i want to play the game.

Kinda reminds me of movie previews..

I think the recent WoW intro is the best movie intro I've seen cinematic quality wise. I can't help but imagine how closely the game would resemble the movie if WoW went the high-polygonal route like SoE.

Of course, I've always been in favor of laying off the cinematic art team and hiring content developers instead.

By far, the original Fallout game intro was my favorite. Diablo wins the silver for the second best, with Fallout2 for the bronze. Honorable mention goes to the other Blizzard intros and Syndicate (which was excellent in its day).

Dem' folks at Blizzard definately know how to make dem' intros.
