What will be your longterm goal for WoW/EQ2?

Just post a little about your long term goal in Everquest2/World of Warcraft.

Mine will be to level casually until i'm at the cap, then join a raiding guild and start to play hardcore.. if it's better than Everquest 1 that is... Since Eq2 is out 3 months earlier in England, I will be playing that first and see how it pans out.. and if it's better than eq1 switch over to that..

what about you guys?

(Oh and i'm gong to play a Priestess in EQ2, and a Priestess in WoW too

im playing eq2 too, probably a guardian again just like in beta. ill level up casually as well and when it gets to highend content and expansions that will change i guess. ill also keep an eye on wow and vanguard

As for eq well i hope to be 20 in day 1 (gonna depend how stable the launch is).

Gonna stick with my assassin even tho they fucked with them so bad recently and get to el and OW asap and take advantage of the named droping lvl 40+ items that spawn every 10 min that they still not fixed and get rich and by a nice horse.

In actuality, it's going to be taking a character (Tauren warrior probably) to the edge of perfection. When I'm bored with that, I'll choose a class with an entirely different play style and gear setup (Troll shaman?), then take it to the edge of perfection. I'll continue to switch between these 2 characters as Blizz releases expansions.

Probably a Ratonga Inquisitor for EQ2 - goal is to set up a guild with my old clique + pick up a few new people as neccesary.

Guild goals are in the "Dunno" category ATM, alot of us were about the most hardcore bastards you knew 1-2 years ago but have mellowed out recently [I retired I L70/700 AA, 2300 AC, etc Time/KT cleric on Stromm personally - most of the others were similarly hardcore there] - I think we're just gonna play and see what pace/tier we find comfortable to us and our lives these days.

As for WoW - assuming I get it (not recieved any BDay gift cards yet though - so might not) - probably will play a Night Elf Hunter for the rare times I show up over there, I'd just be playing WoW to blow off steam though.

I will be playing EQ2 and I am going to try and get to the end ASAP so I can farm and build up items for my friends so that when the real game is released we'll be ready for it...muhaha!!

Seriously though there is a group of us who are going to go to EQ2 and for all of us it is getting on together and killin shit and having a good time that matters most....and if I can prod them a little faster to the end game so be it hehe

When is someone going to get shit going like Jerle did with CoH. That guild was pretty cool for about 2 weeks, along with CoH. As of right now both games hold an appeal to me and both are flawed, so I haven't made up my mind... will most likely come down to whichever game has more of my friends at launch. If it's EQ2 I'm almost certain I'll be a monk or some other type of melee, if I'm in WoW I'll be a caster... they seem to have been tuned more for "fun" than eq's casters.

So glad it isn't just me with that mindset. I still want to kill shit, I just don't want to do it for more than 2 or 3 hours a day during the week; hopefully the smaller raid numbers will make that possible.

More than anything I'm just happy that instead of having to tolerate 60 or so slackers I can barely stand I'll get to spend my time with two or three dozen people that carry thier own weight and I actually like. Okay let's be realistic, I'll settle for six people I actually like being around and 2 or so dozen that don't annoy the piss out of me.

I guess for me is leading my WoW guild (made with a few RL friends, some ex-EQ's like me). We're not realy hardcore time-wise, but we are goal orientated, so we'll see how that works out. Given that we'll be on the Aussie server, I don't think we'll have a lot of competition, heh.
