It might be different when you're playing and looking at it for yourself, but in every video I see some of the models and armor is just terrible. It's like one of those 3d cartoons they started making several years ago for saturday mornings.

Videos can look vastly different depending on the set in-game options as well as the quality of the video.

I assume the video has been taken with very low detail/resolution settings and/or the compression took a lot away from it. Overall not bad, but not exactly impressing either. Character models look like total crap, although the social animation with the dancing halfling is excellent. Another thing that I find worth mentioning is the light source/shadows combination. It looks very realistic and it adds a lot of atmosphere and depth to the scenario.
