You pulled off HO's faster than 8 sec each? For all the classes I've played there's been a abililty tied to the middle of the chain that takes 15.0 sec or longer to refresh....

EQ2 ships in 6 days, which means they've already created the discs. What this patch note tells me is that you're going to have a massive download day 1 because guess what... SOE released a buggy as shit unfinished product
. Incorrect at every turn.

First of all, the art assets have been locked down till release. Which means the only thing people will be downloading come patch day is code, and possibly some sound files. Addionally, the voice over patches are going to be optional patches for obvious reason.

And another thing, why do people assume they HAVE to push the most current Beta build onto the live server come release? The test server would make sense, but they don't have to push the exact final Beta build onto the live servers.

Yes, rogues could do them faster fairly easily, at least by 15, since they used just two icons, in the pattern 1, 2, 1, and there were something like 6-7 skills that used the first icon, and 3 skills that used the second, all on different timers.

Gallenite Emailed me about the no exp cuz of being low level bug...

it was found and fixed last nite and should go live the next hotfix

basically the problem player would aggro a grey spawn

run away (might be an aggressive spawn would aggro a high level player running by)

npc would give up and return home.

the npc would NOT clear its "hate list" thus when a lower level player would aggro it- like in my case-

since player 1 the npc was grey player 2- where the creature WOULD get exp.....wouldn't since there was a player that the creature was "grey" to on its "hate list"

thanks scott

nice that i found an bug that would really piss people off if it made it live

Poor Jerrith got robbed at that competition.

I still say you should have made copies of that binder and sold it.

Thanks Duhulk. For those wondering, I was the runner up in the EQ2 Marathon at the fan faire. I was the leader for most of it, and the first to 15, but was too slow soloing at the end, and Omnni managed to get into 16, while I finished at 15.93.

The "binder" was a small black binder I put together which has a step by step list of places to go and NPCs to talk to at the start of the game. It takes you through the isle of refuge, and every fedex quest available in Qeynos and its hamlets/villages.

It actually listed *every* quest you could get, as I made it before the 50 quest limit, but when the limit was added, the day before, I marked it up to skip a bunch of quests. (I actually got within 2-3 quests of the limit, during the marathon, still.)

It also listed all the discovery exp locations, but during the marathon, discovery exp was not being granted anymore.

Today, there are even more discovery exp locations, and supposedly around 10% of the quests require a language now and wouldn't be doable by a newbie.

When I wrote it, I ended up with 75 quests complete, and 70 open, exp at 11.94. In the competition, I ended up with 71 complete (and about 25 open?) at the end of following it (with 2 intentionally skipped, and 2 skipped due to npcs wandering off somewhere non-obvious), exp at 9.33. This was all with no killing other than what was done for "required" quests.
