Due to the overwhelming response the World of Warcraft Beta has received we are experiencing some delays in your subscription status. It has been processed, but may take a little longer to go through to show you as a subscriber. Please do not click the Submit button again, this will cause multiple processes. You WILL receive a Welcome email for your subscription.

Should you experience any duplicate charges, please contact Customer Support using the Send Request button. We will be happy to take care of it!
I can understand everyone's frustration, but just be patient.

If Fileplanet raised their prices for this, that is total bullshit. This is price gauging at its worst and is illegal if I am not mistaken.

During the hurricane season some gas stations raised the price of gas to $10 a gallon and were ordered by law to return them to normal market rates.

What I find equally disturbing is that people are willingly paying for this bullshit. It just reinforces the same bullshit that people have complained about with regards to SoE and their willingness to do anything to make a buck (pay for beta ala SWG).

I am all for capitalism but with crack addict consumers who will do anything for a fix, the market gets corrupted too fucking fast.

I was never under the illusion that Blizzard was more or less ethical than SoE with regards to business behaviour but this is pretty fucking low; assuming they have a take in this.

Tomorrow I think I will send them a nice email asking for 1/7 of the cost of membership back since I was unable to even *try* to download the game today. Give me my damn beta key!

I checked my email and got my subscription receipt. (No key yet)

On a side note, I also got a spam advertisement for anger management. I thought it fitting.

I signed up for basic subscription at around 10pm Est for $7.90 USD, fucked around for about 1.5 hours, trying to find out how to download the client, etc, and came across some people talking about the price of basic going up to $16. I thought they were just retards who were unable to sign up properly with basic - and checked for myself (logged out and tried to sign up for fileplanet basic subscription) and bam! $16.10 usd! - wtf. As the above post states: this is illegal. We need to inform the authorities - if we dont stand up for ourselves, fucking companies like gamespy will just keep pulling this shit.

I may be mistaken when I say this, but...

Price gouging doesn't count in this situation seeing as the product we are dealing with is a service and not an oversight commodity.

Again let me reiterate, I am mostly ignorant on the subject of price gouging laws, but something is nagging me in the back of my head telling me that there is a difference between oil and MMORPGS.

Either way, fileplanet can suck a dick.

So, is there a way into the stress test without using faggoty fileplanet? Or does stress testing cost the price of membership to that shit site?

Bliz just took a giant turd on everyone

I was halfway through a big rant and then realized people who rant about beta bullshit like what happened today (to the closed beta testers) are gay, so I'll just say its very disappointing and my opinion of blizzard went down a few notches over the way they treated all of their closed beta testers and potential stress testers.

what's odd is if i'm logged out of my (free) gamespy acount when i click on basic i get

Subscribe to FilePlanet for only $16.90 & get everything you've been missing

but when i click on basic on the same page WHILE being logged on my free acount i get the old price

Subscribe to FilePlanet for only $7.90 & get everything you've been missing

old price link:

http://www.fileplanet.com/subscribe/wow/8123.shtml

new price link:

http://www.fileplanet.com/subscribe/wow/2457.shtml

so i just guess the basic (wich on the image where you click basic is the only one that has no price) doesn't redirect to the same service for everyone or something

http://www.fileplanet.com/subscribe/wow/8123.shtml if the link doesn't work, log in and click upgrade now on the left, scroll all the way to the bottom and click the red No, I want Basic link. Its still 7.90, they just removed the 7.90 from the WoW advertisement it seems.

Okay now what the fuck.....

Finally, I get past the red bar page.......

ONLY TO FIND THAT IT'S FUCKING:

"Denied for no reason"

Yes, it only fucking said, "Denied for no reason." Fuck FilePlanet. I hope the guy who was responsible for writing this fucking set of webpages gets fucking castrated, and then flogged to death with his bloody, mangled penis.

Fuck fuck fuck
