Agreed. Nice observation.

It is pretty surprising, I agree. Many people just don't understand the concept of a main tank in a group. Many warriors flat out will not leave Battle stance, and spend the whole time using a 2-hander. I've also run into a few priests who burn all their mana nuking, and give you a big WTF when you expect them to heal. You would think these would be pretty standard practices by now, but you can definitely tell the people who played EQ/DAoC/Etc.

Well which servers were you guys on? I've played on 2 different PvP servers and haven't encountered anyone like you describe. I'd imagine that those going for PvP would already have a grasp on MMORPG's and those who go to the bluebie servers would not.

I'm on Ysern, at least until stress test ends =/

I was kind of tepid on the game until I rode a griffon from Stormwind to Ironforge. Now I <3 it.

I've played multiple classes/races to about level 7. I really don't want to see too much of the game -- just get enough knowledge of the newbie areas to quickly advance out of them at release.

So far I'm crapping my pants every night I play. Awesome game -- at least up to level 7.

WoW is amazing in the fact that I knew EXACTLY what class I wanted to play prior to release. I played it, and loved the class. A few days later, I tried another class, drastically different then the first, and now I'm sticking to it in retail.
Unless of course I get into closed beta and find a new love.

that's because defensive stance sucks ass. Tauntbot isn't fun, it's something you do on your other computer while you play a fun class. I've shifted over to Rogue now so i'm all about the damage..although i probably shoulda been a mage instead

although i've seen the dumb priests too. And normally my warrior was using 1h + shield, because as long as people weren't being dumb I could hold the aggroes well enough in battle stance. I'd switch when I had to (emergency tauntbotting someone who overaggroed or overpull), but i never stayed in it for long at all.

Solving poor pick up groups is easy. It can be done in one of two ways:

1. Stop grouping. Its pointless unless you're questing or can't figure out how to solo..since soloing is infinitely more exp.

2. Join a good guild.
