I'm Potam on the server that starts with a K =(... I don't remember the name.

So far it reminds me A LOT like DAoC (quest quest quest). So far, it's pretty fun. World is big but small, meaning it is fun to run, and you feel like you're actually travelling, but it isn't like FFXI where you want to shoot yourself in the penis and die.

Just time will tell for me whether or not I can keep playing the game over and over.

Then again, this isn't a big deal because of instances.
Generally only the dungeons (and at high level a couple of outdoor zones) are instanced though - 90% of the zones you'll be levelling up in and travelling through are not instanced.

Cheers,

Sorran.

Got my Warlock to 11 before I had to leave to go to work at 8 CST. No lag, no crashes, and crowding wasn't really a problem at all since I moved out of the newbie area relatively fast. And no really "annoyances" so far about anything to /feedback.

Really the spawns spawn so fast it isnt a problem. 200+ Undead in the starting city and I had no problem with the quest you start with. I love it.

I really haven't had any issues finding stuff to kill. The areas don't come off as being too packed, but there are definaetly a lot of people running around. But no lack of stuff to kill.

Very impressed with Blizzard, zero lag, no problems logging in and setting up my account.

The game looks spectacular and the engine is sweet. 1280x1024 with everything max and I think the lowest I dropped was to 32fps. My sys specs: Anthlonx XP 2700+, 1gb pc3200 ram, radeon 9800 pro 128mb.

Deathwing, Tauren Hunter on Aman'thul(nice tolkien rip-off). Love the game so far, but I loved it last week too when I started a rogue on my friend's account. Cows with guns, scary. Anyway, stuff spawns fast enough that it doesn't make a difference for how crowded the zones are. No problems with lag at all, great job there blizzard. Game looks like it's progressing VERY well, most like will get my subscription...only if they fix that damn audigy issue. I get popping sounds ingame, but when I set the acceleration bar to basic in dxdiag, they go away. Murders my sound though. Yes, I've submitted it.

One: The game isn't released yet. Just in case you weren't aware....

And why do you guys pull this out of your ass anytime someone says: "There's not enough mobs in the newbie zones, newbie this, newbie that, etc..etc.."

That response is bullshit. Especially in a game with INSTANCING. There's no reason not to instance newbie areas. Or you can even do what AO did and perma-duplicate each newbie zone 30x per city.

Voila, being a newbie at release isn't a problem. No excuse except to save a few bucks. Even chat-rooms do this when they fill up, but heavens to betsy to attempt that with a chatroom with graphics!

Beyond that, I can't for the life of me understand why people try to placate or make up excuses for other players. The idea pre-release is to *improve* the game. I guess the 'Unofficial Wendy's Guy' isn't as annoying as the 433,212 'Unofficial Blizzard/SOE Guys"

A: WoW has ungodly fast respawns on newbie areas, its NOT A BIG PROBLEM.

B: Lots of quests, even at low level, are easier or doable at a lower level with a group of 2 or more, so people can and will group up for it.

Please put down the drugs.

Very impressive...played up to lvl 5 really quick. Easy to learn, lots of quests, and really zero lag. Three more months of dev time and it should be good to go.

Picked up the system right off the bat. Had zero problems with anything so far.
I crashed once, for some unknown reason, but a little window popped up and I agreed to the "report it to Blizzard" thing.
Biggest problem I have right now is all the zone wide retarded spam. Alot of people talking about alot of dumb shit. My personal favorite being the guy who yelled, and I quote:

"There are like..15 level 10 alliance right outside the town raiding us"

I replied "There are 2 level 75 guards standing at the only entry to this valley, and I am sure there are plenty more before them. You're full of shit"

And then some other guy said "Well, like, 15 level 10s can take a 75".

I turned off the general 1 channel. Problem solved.

Great game, alot of fun.
Character name is Angel, server is Tichondrius, Tauren Warrior

For all the horror stories people predicted, the first day of stress testing can only be considered perfect. I signed up, logged in and played a night elf for a good 4 hrs last night

Yes, the newbie areas were crowded (my fault, picked a NE!), but as soon as I got away from the main area, I hardly ran into many people.

The game is fun, fast paced , and beautiful, a stark contrast (not in a bad way) to EQ2.

I'm calling bullshit on the whole thing. We weren't really connected to a server, there was too little lag and connection problems. I think the game we got has a very advanced AI system that only made it seem like we were interacting with thousands of players.

But all kidding aside, if this is what release is like, then I think WoW will beat out DAoC for best release, which is great.

I think my character should run faster, though.
