Seeing dumb names doesn't bother me.
It helps me filter out who I probably won't waste my time grouping with.

Can anyone explain to me how the hunter is compared to the other classes in WoW. Is the hunter another Warlock type class that is not sought after or entirely useful to the advancement of the group? Whats the hunter best at from the looks of it seems to be soloing, can't see a hunter being useful at higher levels. Anyways any reply would be much appreciated.

Also was curious about the warriors stances and effectiveness in groups, do groups only look for a defensive or balanced warrior or do they also look for a pure attack war, or does it not matter, please enlighten me ;p.

In a word, the hunter is 'under-developed' which is common in WoW's beta. The hunter, druid and warlock need tuning, and not just talents. The warlock needs his two highest pets, the druid needs to be worth a damn, or at least be able fill a unique role, that of a shapeshifter that changes during the course of the fight regularaly as fights progress in stages. The hunter needs his pet fixed(currently does measly damage), but the gun sounds really cool.

Can't answer the warrior questions though. I would personally wait until open beta when the classes should be balanced before forming a plan on how to play the character and allocate talents.

.

Well I finally got to play WoW in the stress test. All I can say is WOW!

How can this game still be in beta?? It feels so polished and finished its amazing. I actually felt like the first time I started playing Everquest and oh what a nice feeling that is.

Now a lot of people have been talking about the graphics and comparing them to EQ2. I have tried eq2 and only saw the graphics from the videos. In games like mmorpg's it really isnt a concern for me to see 10k poly counts in the character models. The flow of the terrain and character models and spell effects mean much more than fancy shiny graphics. Wow flows so nice I have never seen any game that is as pleasing to the eye as this one and Ive been gaming since the early 80's when most of you were still nibbling on your moms nipples. Art is all about flow and structure. Eq2 from the vids ive seen looks like blocky shiny objects that really dont look well stacked next to each other.

The world itself really stood out for me. Very bright colors and odd shapes of houses, buildings, and trees. It seems to me that with the tech thats out there right now this game will be as close to perfect as you can probably get.

I am just bummed that i didnt get to see more of the game before the test ended. I put a lot of hours in and couldnt even report a bug because i didnt find any lol.

In the end though what will dictate mine and others time dedicated to WoW will be endgame and the people i meet and form relationships inside the game. The shell though seems to be near flawless. Too bad im not in the beta because I really cant wait to sink my teeth into this game full time.

P.S. Hey can any of you guys who know Alloria shoot me a message with his Aim screename I seem to have lost it and need to contact him. Thanks

I am wondering why they keep extending it. Saw a broadcast today saying they were extending it a few more hours.

Open beta must be close. I only got to see the game up to a level 18s point of view but it ran very well. Aside, from a few mob problems (those who are stuck and cant be hit) I didnt see many problems. Its fairly polished for still being in closed beta. Taurens > all :P
