+16 Internets | They still havent revealed the reward system/battleground though in terms of how it will work though. That's what I was primarily talking about.

+1 Internets | I think the low-end is ready for prime time. I only only got on the beta train like 10 days ago, and am like level 15 ATM. Besides a couple crashes, thing look really solid at the low end. Heh I logged in for an Uqua raid one night, and within 20 minutes /q'ed for WoW. Fuck everquest. |

+5 Internets | Hmm... zone/content wise, I would say WoW is about 75% of the way there. Many of the mid-level zones need work (especially for horde) and the high-end content is very limited atm. Low end (1-20) is about as damn near perfect as it will get. Class balance wise, I can't even venture a guess. Warlocks are crap, Hunters are crap, only 4 classes have talents and at least of 1 of them (priest...) has very serious balance issues that need to be worked out. Druids seem to be teeter-tottering on a very delicate balance beam since blizzrd cannot decide wtf they want to do with this class; they did get some upgrades last patch, but compared to some of the other "parent" classes, they are still pretty gimp (from what I've been told from druid friends). Paladins can't tank for crap (at least multiple mobs) and although the holy trinity is not as prevalent as it used to be, you'd still be fucking nuts/stupid to go into an instance of your level without a warrior to tank (unless your group is horrendously skilled). Hell I'd take a druid in bear-form over a paladin for my group's MT, and that is a sad, sad thing. Lotta work to be done -- the game could be ready by december, but at the speed they're putting out the patches and the amount of stuff that gets borked after every one, I for one, doubt it. |

+1 Internets | "Paladins can't tank for crap (at least multiple mobs) and although the holy trinity is not as prevalent as it used to be, you'd still be fucking nuts/stupid to go into an instance of your level without a warrior to tank" Like I said, im only 15, but we had a paladin tank the Gold Coast Quarry the other night. He was the same level. Multiple mob pulls (sometimes 4) levels 14-16. Worked fine. |

+5 Internets | It's not so pronounced in the lower levels. You'll begin to see the disparity once you begin hitting instances. As a priest, first thing I do when I join a pickup group is look for the warrior; second thing I do is ask him if he's a defensive one. Sounds prickish, but the hardest lessons are those self-taught and I've been through too many crap ass offensive tanks and Paladins who "think" they can tank to be anything less. Also, what I mean by can't tank for crap is not that they can't take any hits, they just cannot hold taunt effectively if they are tanking more than 1 mob. |

However, I'm fully expecting a whole bunch of stuff that people have been asking for for ages in the october & november EQ patches AKA the "Wait! Don't quit! Here's class balancing" patches. | |

| Feedback on the boards was really good up until the level-55 patch. However, we still have no response at all about most of the recent bugs, the tank HP problems, the Armor tweaks (armor seems to have a low soft cap), and how they are going to fix the spirit bug. There have been more posts about the "Stress Test" than any of the problems introduced since the patch. Other than that, I really need to see the PVP Battlegrounds before I can comment on a release date. Leveling in the game goes fairly fast (Thank goodness!), and I am hoping that PVP will be fun and satisfy some of the insane grinders that want leveling to take forever. |
