| They removed invis? excellent, it looked really broken, allowed lots of exploits and added precious little to the gameplay. And the mage class certainly didn't need it for balance. In fact I hate invis in EQ too, when you have to invis past content it's a pretty clear sign that the content is boring. |

I will agree that taking it out completly might have been a bit far. It needed a PvP nerf for sure, but I didn't think they'd remove it completely.

+13 Internets | http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/threa...2082&s=new#new [Edit] What the hell, broken link already? hahaha I'd like to add to the discussion here that while people are crying about "not enough content" this patch looks mighty impressive content-wise. While sometimes it has been a downer knowing there's only so high you can reach for in the game, launch is looking to be sweeter by the minute. Too bad I'm in the middle of heading to the cap from scratch again and it will be weeks before I see the new stuff. |

Uh....... so in this quote, you are also implying there is some solid form that makes a dungeon, and that EverQuest defined it? And that the camps and size of the dungeon must fit exactly into the mold so that there are 'lists', 'trains', and 'fighting for spawns? Or uh

| Good god, there's already people on the WoW board whinging about Tigole posting here (particularly the "matter of hours till patch" bit) instead of posting such information at the WoW board. I swear to god, Blizzard's potential player base (a significant portion of it at least) is quite possibly the single biggest problem they are going to have. Cheers, Sorran. |

+13 Internets | The board-trollers signify a certain segment of the population, I think you know that. And because I can't stop posting in this thread I want to say that recently I have reacquired the same excitement about this game that I had before I got my hands on it, and that's saying something. I am also so happy for rogues right now. Between the drinking nerf and the temporary elimination of invisibility Rogues now have the sustainable DPS, and are no longer a second-rate scouting class. I'm going to save my list of why 90% of mages are the worst players in the game for later. |

| I never even really used invis to gank people in PvP. I can sneak up on them just fine without it. The real problem in PvP was polymorph. A mage could polymorph(fast cast time) someone then cast pyroblast unmolested, following up with an instant cast fireblast, killing pretty much anyone instantly but warriors or pallies. Quote:

| Tigole, do you have a rough guess as to when the next batch of Beta keys are going out?

| you can take care of dungeon overcrowding problems fairly easily, having more dungeons takes care of it, instancing some dungeons and not instancing others takes care of it, since i havent play wow or any game which used heavy instancing yet ill reserve final judgement but imo it would hurt the sense of community to have all instancing in dungeons, seb was a great dungeon, lists sucked ya but there were solutions to that other than instancing, hell half the time the lists were because of the triad required for grouping at the time and not because there were no open areas.. in other senses its ok i cant really honestly say i met that many people in dungeons who werent in my group. Biggest worry personally for wow is trivial travel making the world seem small and not letting different factions group together, oh and the bnet morons who will play. I honestly hope an mmo comes out with lineage 2 style leveling, hard as hell and you didnt fly through the content in half a day.. to bad it was boring and had no content other than leveling. |
