| I'd really rather they had time to solve the technical limitations of globally linking the auction houses, but this works for now. Although I'm semi baffled at moving the booty bay auction house to Gadgetzan, taking a wait and see on that. |

| That's like three birds with one stone... UC and SW were too crowded, Orgrimmar and Ironforge didn't have enough players, and there were too many markets. I don't think I like Gadgetzan being the cross-faction trading post instead of BB, I was under the impression BB was going to be made "neutral" somehow, so guards would attack or maybe you couldn't pvp in town. Hopefully Gadgetzan is getting a makeover, it's kinda puny right now - can you imagine a ton of horde/alliance there, crowded around an auctioneer?

| Gadget is slightly more accessable to horde now, since you can taxi there from Ogrimar....as opposed to going to XR then running to Ratchet then taking the "boat" to Booty. As for removing the popular auction houses...very interesting. Blizzard needs to realize though that part of the reason UC was popular was because OGRI SUCKS ASS FOR TRADESKILLING. They need to evaluate the placement of some of the various tradeskilling devices, trainers, and merchants. It's far too spread out in some cases (forge/anvil is a notable one...seriously, Ogri is the only horde city without a anvil and forge RIGHT NEXT TO EACHOTHER).

| Ogrimmar's layout just sucks in general. I can appreciate what they were TRYING to do, but it reminds me a lot of Tir Na Nog...crummiest of DAoC's capitol cities. I heard it was being revamped, so perhaps it'll be more player-friendly. Thunder Bluff would've been better, if they wanted to place it on Kalimdor...nice, tersely packed area where you can more or less find everything you need easily after the first time around. I dunno, maybe the next step is assigning an actual building to the Auction Houses instead of just sticking them at the bank. They'll probably get laggy in there. They can test for endgame while they're doing this =P how many PCs in a little room is TOO many! Last edited by Iannis : 08-10-2004 at 10:29 PM. |

| What the FUCK? Fucking hell. This is just retarded. Really fucking retarded. Gadgetzan? UAGH! Why do Blizzard incessantly seem to want to make the game less fun.

| Gadgetzan is in south Kalimdor in Tanaris. It'll be interesting to see what happens. My bet is that IF will just become the new hub for Alliance. Especially with the new networked flight path system that's coming up and the fact that the new zones coming up are generally closer to IF anyway (IF is closer to the boat ride over to the cities that have the Alliance Kalimdor flight paths). I guess that relieves the lag from Ellwyn Forest but I wonder how Dun Morogh is going to hold up. Last edited by Khalikryst : 08-11-2004 at 05:08 AM. |

| Eh, that's true. But Camelot was cool to roam around. I still don't know why Hib had pseudo-Russian architecture. Plus I remember early on I'd lock up in tir for some weird reason. Blah. Last edited by Iannis : 08-11-2004 at 11:12 AM. |

| considering that the auction house setup that we have gotten has gone in at all is a testament that they take our feedback seriously in alpha alot of people went - wouldn't it be cool if...... blizzard went - you know you are right- 3 months later(maybe 4) we have an auction house. it works for me (i actually won a dagger in auction yesterday (went from a 14 dps to a 20dps dagger-big difference in my combat now) |
