Anyone play/remember Rubies of Eventide?

Was cancelled a few months back I think?

I got a starter kit with a pretty cool Breastplate, but I'm not sure why it says "Yantis.com" on the front. Same goes for the really cool green backpack with "Alienware" written on the back, not sure why those are rarer than other backpacks. And don't even think about getting the Noid and/or Chiauaua pets, they're camped 24/7.

LOL....Gonna have a virtual parking lot with a bunch of trailer homes.And you can only take left turns.

I tried the game for a bit. It's odd gameplay and combat system took a while to learn. The 'sky' which seems to be solid clouds 50 feet above your head just made it feel odd and I never felt any imersion.

More casual games like this one with small player bases should look to alternative pricing models. Something like $4.99 for 45 hours / 1 month whichever is used up last. Somebody who only gets to play 4 to 8 hours a week probably isn't going to keep subcribed to a medicore game with a monthly subscription. They might stick around longer if the cost could be spread out over more than one month of casual play.

Sorry to repost, but I left the download on all night and it times out... cause the d/l speed is way too slow its dwon to like 12kb/s now. If anyone can post and alt. download link I would really appreciate it, thanks.

There is a mirror site, look on their message boards. I downloaded it in all of 20 minutes. The installer was broken, however, and I wasnt able to get it installed.

Their board said that they had hosting problems. I decided after downloading it not to bother with this laggy pile of ass. They just dont have the funding to effectively run a server with any reliability.
