Question Those of you who say WoW leveling is too fast?

For who?

Is it too fast for everyone? Are retarded monkeys hitting the level cap with ease? Or is it mostly too easy for the MMO vets to whom min/maxing comes as almost second nature at this point? Are the "kiddies" and "b.net retards" encountering more frequent stumbling blocks, getting stuck on stuff and giving up to reroll a different character etc., than the ex-EQ players? Or are you all too insulated by your guilds from those segments of the population to have any idea?

Anyone, its just easy. I dont play it as much as I wish I could right now and ive easiily gotten to level 24(like 1k from 25) with less then 2 days played on the character. Actually I think I may about halfway thought my 3rd day played but the point still stands.

For everyone indeed, 12 days played, 90% of them between 2-10am US so that means a lot of solo and looking for group, and I'm 47, if I played during prime time I could probably have gotten 50 in under 10 days on my first play through.

Everyone. With a few random hours played, I'm already almost 20. And I have like zero free time to play since I can't at work, heh.

I'd have to concur with everyone, and that's with being solo most of the time and doing random groupings... some with bnet tards, some with great people. For the horde, though, they also need to balance slowing it down with more quests. We don't have enough as it is in some level ranges, slowing it down would make it so we have to grind a lot without more quests.

i had no problem doing quests and not grinding etc from 20-35 with no lack of quests to do- sure there could be about 10-20% more but it is ok now, just not as many as the alliance get..

AND i have done most of that in kalimdar- i spent a half a level in hillsbraad...lately i have moved more to stranglethorn vale, and hammerfel,

but i missed most of the undead quests in hillsbraad and seculpcher(however you spell that) that do the 15-25ish range-did not do shadowfang, or razorfen )

at 35 my log is FULL (of mostly orange and red quests)-having a blast,

Yep, retarded monkeys are level capped. No surprise since leveling takes zero skill in WoW. Character level hasn't ever been a good judge of skill in any MMO before; WoW isn't different in this regard.

Blizzard is aware of the lack of quests issue with the Horde. It's something disparate like 400 Horde quests vs. 1000 Alliance quests. That may be slightly exaggerated; the numbers are buried somewhere in the WoW forums. Additional Horde quests will be delivered in future patches.

The game is still in beta, they kinda need people to level up fast as they add more higher end content. I'm sure this will be re-tunned.

Horde quests really aren't as few and far between as people seem to make it sound.

I haven't played an alliance char, but I've never had a problem finding a quest to do as horde, and my quest log has practically always been at the 20 quest limit.

A lot of the quests are elite, is that what makes people say horde is gimped from few quests? I'm rarely ever alone so I'm not sure how bad it might be for the solo player. 99% of the time I don't join any pickup groups but I get asked to do uldaman about once every 5 minutes from random people, so I can't imagine not having a group of friends being too awful.

That's what I had assumed/hoped for, also. We just talked about this on another site last week and 99% of the people thought it was too easy.

I'd like to see the exp bonus go away, stop at around level 25 or they raise the exp required for each level by around 25%. I've always thought the bonus was stupid (even though I do enjoy it) with or without the penalty. They could add a group exp bonus and similar for dungeons to make people shy away from standing in open lands straight up grinding.

Yeah, other then to complete quests, I have 0 motivation to group with people and ive almost gotten into the habit of just leveling up to the point I can do the quest solo when it is yellow or orange.

I wouldn't totaly agree with that. In Pre-Expansion EQ, there seem to be a healthy percentage of players who found gaining levels a challenge. I saw people who didn't gain levels from their stay in Unrest (some who even lost levels), same with Guk & Sol. I think that it was only after RoK that leveling became "retarted monkey" easy. Someone with no skill could just fight in an outdoor zone near a zone line (with SoW/Jboots) and find it impossible to die without going afk.

Let me clarify a bit regarding Horde quests.

If you are a Troll or an Orc, you do the same newbie grounds, then Razor Hill/The Islands, then the Barrens. To have enough quests, you may also have to go do the undead lands, Silverpine Forest/Hillsbrad. Tauren do their newbie grounds, Bloodhoof village, and then... the barrens and to have enough quests, Silverpine Forest/Hillsbrad. The undead have their own newbie grounds, Brill, then Silverpine Forest/Hillsbrad... and to have enough quests, the barrens.

You see, there are plenty of quests to level up, but there aren't enough quests to level up multiple characters without doing a lot of the same quests, which is different from the Alliance. In fact, after this patch, to try it again I deleted my undead mage and started him from 0 again (figured I'd see what it was like levelling up with talents). But this time, I decided I would ONLY do undead areas, and not do any of the barrens quests. This has required tons of grinding as it is, because there are only 1-2 quests per level, that give 2500-3000 xp. If you get a good group and womp out 4-5 of the quests, you still won't necessarily have levelled, but every quest you have will be red for a few levels.

No biggie in Beta, but if this were release and they increased the xp, there would be no possibility at all of levelling a horde without doing practically every horde quest, which would make for a lot less replay value than the alliance has.
