Those are pretty sweet maps...what's the scale on them? As in how big is a character on one? Just trying to get a feel for how large the world actually is. Is it really huge like I think it is?

ok look at the kalimdor map

halfway down on the right site the olive drab/tan zone with the 3 lakes (well 4 but the 4th is small in the ne corner)surrounded by a light green... that is the barrens

the barrens - at normal running speed- takes about 15-20 minutes to run from ashenvale entrance(dark green zone with the 3 rivers) on the north side to thousandneedles on the southern side(the pebble looking area) and about 6 to 8 minutes from ratchet on the coast on the east to stone talon mountains entrance(medium brown zone) on the west

or the big island on the NW of that map ,..ne lands - takes about 8-10 minutes to run across it east to west

If you look on the azeroth map, you'll see that they haven't done geometry for Quel'Thalas. I guess its not going to be in game at release. To bad, I wanted to explore the ruined High Elf capital.

Dalaran got nuked by the scourge, and they're rebuilding. They put up the bubble so they can avoid interuption.

The map may look small but it's filled with hills and Disneyland line mazes everywhere so you generally can't just run straight through many places. Azshara is probably the worst zone to run around in because it is huge and there are so many cliffs that you have to wind around.

Alot of the zones are still not done, so I think alot of the unused areas will be fixed.

The world imo will be fairly big, though I only have played Asherons Call 2 (flame away). If the content is there, then it won't be too bad.

I have an eight megabyte map of Azeroth, I'd host it and post it but I have no where to put it.

Anyway, ,the world is pretty large., but more importantly, it's also quite full of content(the zones that are completed or close to completed anyway)

well, can anyone say what % of the game world is complete for release. I am sure they will add more later but for their release target, what % of the gameworld is complete.

Using Andorion's maps and Leafy's template and Kalimdor map I put this and this together, most of the credit goes to them of course, I've only done gruntwork.
Kalimdor lacks 3 flight paths, I'll add them as soon as I've checked in game where they connect to, if the rest is not accurate feel free to correct me

I made a quick and dirty map edit to show what percentage of the map we can explore, we can't explore and whats open, but lacking in content still.

Green = Well done zones needing very minor tweaks.
Blue = Zones that are unfinished, but open and need some more content or reworking done to them.
Red = Areas that have no content and Death Touching Mobs.

Azeroth
Kalimdor
